0:15 to 0:25 has a similar chord progression to the main theme of Pirates of the Caribbean. It's not identical, but it's similar. In fact, it's close enough that my nephew CJ came running when I played this because he thought it was Pirates of the Caribbean. To put that into perspective, CJ can listen to music in a movie and tell you if it's a composer he knows. He can recognize Danny Elfman, John Williams, and, relevant to this, Hans Zimmer in a heartbeat.

@trepetro I've almost played Oblivion once through, but still I haven't played the last part where Mehrunes Dagon attacks, I've just seen the scene. Anyway, in the end of the Oblivion, is it still the Dragonfires that keep the barriers between Oblivion and Tamriel alive?

Because if it is the Dragonfires, all you need to do is form another cult of assassins and strike quickly against Imperial City, steal or kill or destroy whatever keeps the Dragonfires going, and poof... open up the portals.

@trepetro Well, I can't really imagine Mehrunes Dagon to come and aid Tamriel, but perhaps some other Daedra like Azura or Meridia, they seem like almost friendly when you visit their Shrines. And yes that would be super cool, epic!!

@trepetro Well I haven't played to the end of the game yet, but I'm getting very close already. Of course I've seen my cousin finish the ending, thus I know what happens in the end, Martin becoming Akatosh's Avatar and Mehrunes Dagon assault Imperial City.

I just thought that Daedra Lords or godlike creatures like Dagon or Akatosh couldn't die permanently, only their mortal form could be destroyed. I mean, when a God enters a mortal realm, he has to take a mortal form, but he is still a god.
