Watching this video brought tears to my eyes! I'm glad to see that there are still sailors in the U.S. Navy who take to heart the meaning of our core values. Everyday, I see kids fresh out of basic who take no pride in the uniform that they wear or for that matter, themselves and those who've come before them. I have the utmost respect for the U.S. Navy S.E.A.L. and though I've not worn a uniform in a very long time, I would still render a salute out of respect for your sacrifice. GO NAVY!

The U.S. Coast Guard was the first Armed Service, other than the USN, to have 2 members graduate from BUD/S...These men will train with Seals/Marine Exp. Units/and US Army SF for at least 2 years. When they are finished, they will be SEAL/SF certified.
Since they (USN/USCG) work hand in hand to combat terrorism on the homefront it only made sense to train together.

I am a former SEAL attached to SEAL Team One; BUD/S class 207 fall of '95. Let me clarify some of the "salvos" I see getting thrown around. You MUST be in the Navy to go to BUD/S -- no if, ands or buts. Sure, there were/are plenty of transfers but they must go through the Navy process to become a sailor before they attend BUD/s. And yes, it is rare but it does happen. Every single person at BUD/S is a sailor.
Also, SEALs, like any group in life, ranges quite a bit from the raucous to the meek.
I want to be a SEAL. I'm only 13 and I understand the way of life that Navy Seals hold. I'm trying to get myself in shape because I know that it is harder to become a SEAL rather than being one (mentally and physically). God can plant courage in them in times of battle and hardship, God can inspire leadership within them to lead men/women to saftey and possibly victory. God will confort them after the service since they will have to remeber all the shit they went through. A God inspired warrior will act selflessly and will find himself/herself saving more lives then killing.

Watching this video brought tears to my eyes! I'm glad to see that there are still sailors in the U.S. Navy who take to heart the meaning of our core values. Everyday, I see kids fresh out of basic who take no pride in the uniform that they wear or for that matter, themselves and those who've come before them. I have the utmost respect for the U.S. Navy S.E.A.L. and though I've not worn a uniform in a very long time, I would still render a salute out of respect for your sacrifice. GO NAVY!

That I don't know, my father died in 1991, I only know that he was one of the original "frogmen" in WWII that became the (first?) seals...and that he was one of the first seven who landed on Guam, during that campaigne, and there mission was to take out the Japanese gunner nests on the beaches. Then they befriended the local natives and got help to clear the island.
He was also in the clean up after Pearl harbor on the suken ships.

The U.S. Coast Guard was the first Armed Service, other than the USN, to have 2 members graduate from BUD/S...These men will train with Seals/Marine Exp. Units/and US Army SF for at least 2 years. When they are finished, they will be SEAL/SF certified.
Since they (USN/USCG) work hand in hand to combat terrorism on the homefront it only made sense to train together.

I am a former SEAL attached to SEAL Team One; BUD/S class 207 fall of '95. Let me clarify some of the "salvos" I see getting thrown around. You MUST be in the Navy to go to BUD/S -- no if, ands or buts. Sure, there were/are plenty of transfers but they must go through the Navy process to become a sailor before they attend BUD/s. And yes, it is rare but it does happen. Every single person at BUD/S is a sailor.
Also, SEALs, like any group in life, ranges quite a bit from the raucous to the meek.
