I've never cared for helicopters compared to fixed wing but that was the most incredible helicopter flying I have ever seen. That would make a dragon fly die of jealousy.
was already so low, and even head speed was a little slow, cuz he was pushin it so much. We should have him do chaos or piro flips under the jumping truck haha
look for red bull helicopter doing loops and rolls on youtube. Only be a matter of time before guys are doing funnels LOL Takes ten times more skill and hand eye to fly 3D, than scale
Thanks dude, actually it was maybe 30 bucks, blades weren't even damaged, main shaft, feathering spindle, maybe a gear, set of gears for a servo, very inexpensive crash
@tjtg thanks man, he didn't even bust the blades. I put my 450 in, and did the new 50 buck carbon fibre blades. Just goes to show you, fly low, less damage lol
Gorgeous flying site. But do you find the nearby thick foliage a difficult backdrop to fly against? The trees and branches seem to break up the outline of aircraft.
BTW, great slow-mo camera work on those piro flips -- a move I'm working on.
@videoguy837 thanks a lot, actually the trees help out big time, gives you a very clear profile of the plane or heli. Some larger planes field is a bit tight, but we learned flying at "kamikaze" so we're used to it haha
thanks man, great action there ! Love the slo mo parts of helis doing 3D, too bad about the crash but flying that low doing 3D is always a risk I guess. Seems this weekend you were flying/filming hard Ronin, look forward to the rest of the footage.
lol i was thinking that he was going to crash it on the first flight but dosent look like a big problem to me just some blades (I think)
punisher70000000 1 year ago
@punisher70000000 yep, easy fix, blades and maybe a main shaft or feathering shaft but that's it

crash looked quite tame given the ferocity of the flight. outstanding flying, unfortunate about the crash.
