How to upload pictures to your computer from your camera.

I have a Samsung es55 digital camera, I am trying to upload photos & then make video, but I am just getting more confused, maybe I just have to be able to focus a bit better but I will come back later, and try again. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, very much appreciated. I took the pictures from the camera and loaded them into a file on my computer, after that, I got lost.I will take a break and try this later. Any suggestions would be great .Have a great day.

Lucky me, I never had any problems with my camera, it has always been compatible with all of my computers, I've been using. If you, like me, like to share your photos (flickr is such a wonderful site for that) you can use a tool called clickto. You can "paste" it with clickto to your flickr account, with one simple click. I dont understand what happend to my camera, it was working perfectly(saying Local Disk (E:), but know it says Sony Digital Still Camera. I have no idea why it happend, the camera is nearly full of pics and its was working perfectly for putting pics onto movie maker. Please Can Anyone Help Me???????

8/25/11 This was very helpful to me and I am not computer savvy at all. As you went step-by-step I paused your tutorial so I could go step-by-step for my camera(Kodak). Uploading the pictures went very well. However, the 7 pictures I wanted to upload only uploaded 2. The Kodak Easyshare said 5 were duplicates, I am not sure how that could be.

mine wouldnt come up until i did these steps exactly: 1 plug the usb into the camera while its off.then plut it into your computer. 2 turn the camera on.3 when u see in your taskbar new usb storage device double click that.or go to .start>my computer. im using xp btw

Make sure your camera is turned off before you plug it in to the computer. When you plug it in, then turn on the camera, and usually the camera and computer go to "upload mode". If nothing happens, use your camera's menu to upload or transfer pictures. Your camera should have a little button in the top left hand corner that has an image beside it that looks like a printer? Press that button and it usually automatically brings you to the right menu. Let me know if this helps.

Once you have your camera connected to the computer, you can also go to the start up menu on your computer and choose "my computer" Then from there you can double-click on the USB connection or an image of your camera and tell your computer to connect to the camera. From there you can tell the computer what to do, just follow the prompts. Do you use Picasa, Photoshop, or some other picture editor? There is also a way to connect to the camera using these programs through "import pictures".

Yes your camera should come with a USB cord. If it doesn't, that would be wierd, but you can take your camera to Best Buy or a different store that sells camera accessories and ask them to help you find the right one.
