  • PLEASE keep in mind I am not an MD (although I do have a scholarly appearance). However, your sleep study should differentiate between obstructive and central apnea (obstructive apnea has respiratory effort but no air flow because your airway is blocked by your tongue. Central apnea sleep studies show no inspiratory efforts. As far as the mask is concerned, CPAP is not of much help if you do have central apnea. Please consult with your doctor. Thanks for the question!

  • my sleep study says im negative to obstructive sleep ap. do i have central sa. the cpap doesnt work for me. i go no air flow when put on my nose , but i get full air flow when applied to my mouth. i sleep breathing with my nose only.

  • WOW!!! This is the bes information on apnea I've ever heard!!! This dude rocks!!

  • This is very gratifying - that my hard work is finally being recognized and publicly acknowledged.

  • This guy is really boring.
