Ha Thanks Daniel, well the truth is they shot the tv show in CA, but Mount Airy was the model. However there is a Silar City, Mount Pilot (Pilot MNT) and several actual towns all around us from the show..

I grew up watching the Andy Griffith Show. I never thought there was actually a place named Mayberry and that they filmed there. I hope you spend more time narrating and giving interviews of the people who witnessed the filming with a few behind the scene story's. That would be a collectors item.

I love riding through Mt. Airy. When we ride by pilot mountain we stop by Aunt Bea's to get some BBQ to eat.
