@TheDarkSnake59 The image size depends on the amount of ambient light in the area you are projecting. It is possible to project an image from 1 to 100 inches.
2 hours does seem a little short, because if you wanted to watch movie or something. Id say double that, 4 hours? I still think it's awesome and would put up with the short battery life. I want one for my android phone!
This actually looks pretty cool. And 2 hour battery doesn't seem that bad. I mean you'll be able to watch most movies (since most of them are under 2 hours), and even if its longer you can just switch out the battery/leave a spare charging while using the other. So all in all, it seems really cool!
@FutureInventions Apologies. When Chris asked "fast enough? Refresh rate?" We thought he was asking about the mirroring system (MEMS). The refresh rate is 60hz.
@OckhamsxRazor if that was the case..then the line would be over the ENTIRE youtube video screen of this youtube video. as in we all would see the line going from down to bottom THROUGH pirillo and the other guy, etc, etc.
@chronofusion The scanline is similar to what happens when one tries to film a CRT television or monitor. It happens because the frequencies between the camera and the projected image are not in sync.
@mvisvideo I've filmed a crt tv before ( m y samsung 19" that finally bit the dust a few years back) showing the final fight of super metroiod. no scan lines...again nice try...incase i forgot to specify ..the conversation is over. that means..move on.
Looks awesome. If i had the money, I'd definitely get it! :D Seems great for the every-so-often family movie in the dark. :) Can you charge it while it's in use? (It'd seem necessary, unless an intermission was planned, haha!)
Still can not compete with the Optoma PK301 because that does 1080i and the Showwx + HDMI only does 480P output. this is ideal for apple products. i just checked on there website. unless i'm completely wrong. but this would be nice if you could use gaming systems in 1080P with the showwx + HDMI.
Well this is a pretty nice device but for me it is a little pricy :(. Not saying that it's not worth the money but since I've recently bought quite allot just can't afford to get this too...
@iBizkitas yeah that's practical. pfft. A single battery should last 3, just over a long movie length don't you think. I know the lasers would be pulling a lot of power, but that can be a thing to keep in mind.
i am looking forward to seeing theses integrated in to an iPhone as there recent patient suggested samsung already has a phone with an integrated pico projector it think when apple introduces them they will be very cool
@hgpot You can't really go to that size and see the video. it is 12 lumens, My 60inch tv is 2500 lumens. Resolution will be the least of your worries at 80 inches. And it is 480 widescreen, so it would look 40% better than old "big screen" TVs used to before HD
@BlackwaterOpsDotCom It would, but 854x480 does not look good at 80 inches, 1920x1080 does. It is a projector, so I think that the light matters less than a television.
I want a bigger battery and a lower price point. But, this is a fairly new technology and the prices are justified by that. Do both projectors attach to the devices, or do they need to be held separately?
@lockergnome a single battery should last 3, just over a long movie length don't you think. I know the lasers would be pulling a lot of power, but that can be a thing to keep in mind.
In my opinion I see this technology to be embedded into a future iPhone and iPad
I say 10 hour battery life point is great but I kinda like the idea of a hybrid iPhone/iPad with solar panels embedded in the back of the device or somehow manufactured into the screen
@lockergnome I would say 2 hours is really good it takes a bit of power to run that thing, i was suprised when he said 2 hours i think that is long enough
@lockergnome 3 hours.. just in case there is a 2hr55min movie. Lol, two hours is fine. I am guessing that you can use it while it charges, am I right?
firstly i'd rather have a lithium ion or some kind of rechargeable battery in it that would last at least 6 hours, with that you wouldn't have to constantly buy new AA or what ever batteries that takes and you wouldn't constantly have to worry about conserving battery life since 6 hours is a pretty decent time, not to little but not over the top much either
@lockergnome Honestly, I think 2 hours is plenty...for now. If your business presentation is longer than 2 hours then you should revaluate your career.....but even if you just want to project a short clip from youtube then what would you be watching for over two hours???...I guess what i should say is for the business professional...2 hours is plenty...but for gamers or people that HAVE to watch a movie via their phone and a mini projector ~,~ than maybe not. Buy a bigger battery. =]
@micktrainor92 I honestly think the battery life is pretty good for what i does, and @chrisPirillo what type of battery does it use, does it have its own rechargeable battery or is it just a basic AA/AAA battery?

love the down going down to bottom annoying scan line looking stuff though..sorry..fail product until they can fix that. COOL idea though :D
