  • no Sally or Oogie Boogie?

    but its still AWESOME

  • @TheInvadingKittens Well yeah. :3 They weren't part of the original poem, they were just put in for the film. :3 After all, the film needed a conflict, a high rise, a crescendo, and all that, or it would have been a very boring film!

  • Okay, this is just pure perfection

  • i Loooooooove it! ♥

  • Wow…who made this animation? It flows from one scene to another beautifully, and it goes great with Christopher Lee's narration! Definitely faving this clip.

  • @TheStarryArcher1213 cuz it's the original concept art for the movie, this is right off the special edition dvd

  • Sally looks kinda freaky... o_O Great though

  • Great! :D

  • Beautiful! I should've watched it with the snow effect!

  • Hottoppic brought me here. o -o Sorry had to say that.

  • i love this <3

  • Vampire teddy for the win!

  • As much as I love this poem but urmm.. Where is Sally? When I listen to blink 182 song ( I miss you) it says 'we can live like jack and Sally'.. Either I'm just really dumb or I just don't understand at all?!

  • @livdalton1 Sally is in the MOVIE. This is just the original poem for the idea of the movie. Those lyrics are based on the movie.

  • Awesome

  • wow i love this video

  • this is divine ! if only jack knew how children today will certainly approve of his christmas take !

  • Christopher Lee FTW!

  • Fantastic poem! Love it! <3

  • I love the poem as much as the movie. Quite beautiful. Ahhh the mind of Tim Burton :))

  • aawww it doesnt show him falling in love with salley... o well it is still good

  • i feel bad for today's younger generation that didn't get to grow up watching this every holiday season<3 also, kingdom hearts ftw

  • I didn't want it to finish. Ever..

  • So incredibly amazing.... It's great seeing how a little bit of imagination can turn the holidays into such wondrous, magical story worlds

  • I wonder if Jack remembers Roxas?

  • now i wanna play kingdom hearts

  • thank you for the post!!! love it!

  • reminds me of the Grinch XD

  • Very nice, just found out about this recently. Great narration too. Things would have worked out great for Jack if he had just played Santa for Halloweenland.

  • Genial!

  • i have to say, i would have loved to get the vampire teddy bear....

  • Love! Love! Love! The poem itself, the animation, and Christopher Lee's reading! ACES!

  • Beautiful poem, spectacular animation!

  • Beautiful animation, just wow!

  • No oogi? Oh well still great

  • @jabba820 oogi was only in the movie

  • Wow!!! I didn't know this was a poem!!! That's why I'm finishing my book of poetry. Poetry can open many doors for you!!!

  • WHOA......... as a writer Tim Burton is sooo COOL. Gotta love Jack and his antics.

  • I seen my brother (family terms), spartan7302 play both Kingdom Hearts games, and I am in the form the Magnum Loader Heartless, but the red is now green.

  • Epic

  • is it sad that i can sing along to every song word for word, and i can say every line right before they say it?

  • @maximumride3969 I don't think so lol, just shows how much you love it!

  • @maximumride3969 dont worry, I can do the same with the lion king sooo...

  • Christopher Lee has one of those awesome male speaking voices. He, Jeremy Irons, Alan Rickman and Liam Neeson are all great for these kinds of things

  • @40Pacino you don't know how well you read my mind

  • I've never seen this movie...I'm a deprived child lol

  • poor jack

  • where's oogie boogie

  • Why did I even watch the movie when this is practically better and shorter?

  • @ANTIwankerCHRIST you have no soul

  • @GamerToday NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • I wonder if Jack remembers Sora?

  • @GamerToday what do u mean`?

  • @MsHannisPannish ever heard of Kingdom Hearts?

  • @GamerToday dont think so:L

  • @GamerToday kingdom hearts ftw <3

  • @GamerToday I see what you did there

  • @GamerToday kingdom hearts rules.

  • @GamerToday No, this would have taken place during COM, so everyone forgot him. |D

  • Why did they make Santa so obese?

  • @Christie80 Santa is always that way.

  • this has been my favorite movie since i was 3 years old, and this gives me ever more reasons to love it all over again. the animation is beautiful and christopher lee's voice is PERFECT for the poem. [:

  • @KristiAmundson you should look up the facebook page "I loved the Nightmare Before Christmas long before these scene kids arrived" :D

  • So cuuute!

  • I remember seeing this on the Limited Edition DVD and was like "Wow.. Why doesn't Christopher Lee Narrate all poems by Tim Burton?"

  • hmm, it doesn't include the ending when Santa comes to visit Jack year later!

    :(

  • who do you serve?

    Saruman!

  • This is just amazing!

  • Why doesn't this have like a billion views?!

  • santa is BAALD?!

  • who turned light out to listen to this lol

  • Please stop saying you don't like it, its totally ridiculous.

  • That was SO COOL! Awesome animation and who knew Tim Burton was such a poet? What a great narrative poem, so awesome! Makes me want to go watch the movie again!

  • this is the movie (kinda) in 11:00

  • Awesome :D but Oogie Boogie isn't in this one :0

  • Holy Smokes Dracula from the Hammer films is telling the poem of the NIghtmare Before Christmas. Christopher Lee is awesome, and a BADASS Dracula.

  • I actually like this more than the movie :| the plot i mean. Santa is kinder here xD and it feels more magical when Christmas comes to Halloweentown <3

but the movie has music and the graphics was superb! :D It is one of my favourite! <3

  • What I like about this story the most is that it talks about worlds completely different from another, two cultures clashing, and their attempts to understand each other.

  • christopher lee has the best voice

  • The part where Jack takes stuff from Christmas Town reminds me of the Grinch.

  • the music is beautiful :) im so glad i grew up with this film

im going to show my children along with every Burton masterpiece

...maybe wait a while for Sweeney Todd Lol

  • We are doing a stop motion animation film called Tim. The movie is a stop motion animation film that is dedicated to Tim Burton and has Sir Christopher Lee as the narrator. Search the directors name Brian Joseph Ochab to find the video.

  • MY fav toy is the Gumby and Pokey from the grave. :)

  • Gorgeous. Please check out Red Riding Hood Meets Frankenstein for more like this. Very funny.

  • Christopher Lee!

  • i never notcied how much this is like the grinch before... xD

  • @reedjohnson9 Grinch stole everything but Jack took them because he wanted to show other people. and instead of Grinch just tried to ruin xmas, Jack tried to give presents to make kids happy but he's just so halloweeney /he gave all that creepy toys-which i want to get one from him :))/ but those toys made kids scared...

  • Simply Beautiful and stunning! I love NBC so much!

  • @disk3001 I do believe Saruman :)

  • I love u for showing the truth about the nightmare before chistmas

  • christopher lee

  • :D <3333333333333333333333333333333333333333

  • @KitKatGrat... that movie is called Corpse's Bride. the guy didnt fall into a halloween town. he was kinda like with all the dead people. That's a Tim Burton movie too.

  • You know what I noticed? The plot really has barely anything to do with Jack and Sally's romance, yet the trademark clothes and gifts and stuff are all about that. Hm.

  • @RAWRomnomMEOW they probably added in the romance to make the movie last longer and for better merchandising

  • isnt there another movie kinda like nightmare before christmas where a guy falls down the halloween town door and gets traped in halloween town? like hes aliove when he falls and cant find his way back......any ieas?

  • do you really think that a tim burton poem can withstand the power's of Sauron? there are non who can.

  • i love this,

    its good both ways:)

  • Beautiful. Just...beautiful.

  • Wow, Tim Burtons Nightmare Before Christmas is so original!!!

Suprised theres no Oggey Boogey and Sally but I guess tht the film ppl added them for more interest...so not needed, the story is so beautiful in its simplicity! :D

  • I would rather have Jack's Christmas, personally

  • This poem from Tim Burton inspired me to make my own poem, just a little more modern than this. I am also animating it. I'll soon put it up on YouTube.

  • Hristmastown?

  • THIS IS A 100000000000000000000000 MILIONS TIME BETTER THEN THE MOVIE BRAVOOO BURTON BRAVOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • back when tim burton could tell a story

  • WHAT?!?!?!?! JACK IS NOT UGLY AND SICK!!!!!!

  • @KgrcProductions No, but that's what he looked like to the mortals. Can you imagine Santa Claus looking tall, thin, bony, and having a different voice, giving you all those presents as if you were naughty all year?

  • it's great :D . . .

but it wouldn't be the same with out Oogie Boogie! xD

  • The only thing I can think of to make this better is to replace Sir Christopher Lee with Sir Sean Connery.

  • Christopher Lee's narration is epic win but I still prefer Tim Burton's origional artwork along with the narrator for the movie. I don't know it just feels more authentic I guess.

  • 6 people were mauled by their presents.

  • Hm. Christopher Lee reading "The Raven" would be nice.

  • @leon5080 He is! It's up on youtube=)

  • @babygirl08701

    To tell you the truth,

I'm kinda glad they didn't make a second part.

They would have just ruined the movie.

But it would be kinda cool to see jack go through the other worlds or see Oogie Boogie's revenge...

  • Even though I loved this original version,

I'm glad how the movie turned out.

  • It shares lines with Rudolph and the Grinch. >.>

  • who in their right mind could dislike this?!?!?

  • i'll be right back. i have to beat up 6 people.

  • I wish Tim Burton still made original movies...

  • This is great... Tim Burton, the poem, the music, and Sir Christopher Lee... just.. great...

  • who wrote the original poem?

  • @LiTlLeMiSsViXeN Tim Burton.

  • @LiTlLeMiSsViXeN take a freaking guess....... it was tim burton!!!

  • I saw this movie when it was in theaters. I was just a kid then. I'm 25 now and all I have to say is screw all these cookie cutter CGI movies! When I have kids they're going to watch this movie and if they don't like it I'm going to beat the hell out of them!

  • My forever love!:)))

  • I'm so in love with this story :-) <3

  • 0o0opps tim burton!

  • to the 6 people who disliked this dude whats wrong with you tim burtions the nightmare before x mas is the shit !

  • I just read that there is going to be a box set of all of the music that Danny Elfman has written for Tim Burton films. Yay!

  • I can't believe how fricking awesome this is

  • that was incredible

  • Awesome animation!

  • My Two Favorite Holidays Combined...GREATEST MOVIE EVER

  • this was burtons last true good movie...everything hes put out in the last few years has been nothing more then shit...and his head is so far up his own ass he never has to eat

  • TEY MISSED OUT OOGIE!!! and lock shcok and barrles plan!!

and of corse sally!!!! non the less its still awesome!

  • Brilliant!

  • but where's sally? D:

  • ...what such a beautiful thing!!!!! also i love the animation!!! is terrific!!

  • I can see how there are subtle references to other christmas-related stories.

    -How the Grinch Stole Christmas

    -Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

-and yet another OBVIOUS Christmas story

  • Amazing. yea thats pretty much all i can say :O

  • 6 people had no childhood.

  • This sounds like Ansem the wise from Kingdom Hearts. LOL!

  • @TocinemathsKalh she can be seen about 3:20 at the middle of the screen

  • i love this poem<3 it`s so beautiful

  • This is a beautiful poem. I love Tim's art and movies. His ideas for film are very inspirational. We love you T.B! :D

  • Christopher Lee! OMG he's awesome! very cool illustrations

  • this is realy good :}

  • This is quite good!

  • Its darker then the movie.

  • @ArcherJoeJoe Indeed it is, Jack angry at Santa, no scene of redemption for him at the end. Just a massive failure, with a kind of bittersweet ending.

  • @ArcherJoeJoe sure it is , I bet that this poem was the original plot for the movie and after it was writen , the plot was changed to the verision we know today

  • 6:28-6:54 is what I hear at the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland during Christmas!!

I LUV the way they decorate the ride like Halloween Town-ish!!

  • I LOVE TIM BURTON'S JOB!

  • Sir Christopher lee voice is truly.. powerful and Spine chilling.

I only hope Tim Burton uses his talent more then in this, Alice in wonderland and in that sleepy hollow... I mean seriously! Lee's talent is unbelievable! why waste it on such small parts?

  • Tim Burton is simply AMAZINGNESS!

  • oooh i forgot to mention my Birthday is DEC. 24 1992 the day before chrismas i call it the nightmare before chrismas and i am telling the truth i wish i could proove it to you all

  • I don't like poems, but this was my childhood story that i loved so much. I most certainly enjoy Tim Burton's stories.

  • love it no matter what they say up there

  • 3:08

    ITS SALLY!!!!

    :D

  • well Christopher Lee WAS in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...LOL

  • idk if it's the same person, but his voice reminds me of the narrorater from willy wonka and the chocolate factory

  • i would LOVE to see the easter and valintines land they should make a sequil were he goes there

  • @ig882007 i heard disney was going to make a sequel but tim burton told them not to

  • @babygirl08701

As well he should have. A sequel would likely kill the story.

  • @ig882007 thatd be cool :D

  • @ig882007 They abandoned that idea years back.
