  • @venom400 how do u set the ILS i know how to get IFR and VFR but i dont know how to get ILS does it come up automaticly?

  • This Is Fsx Free Flight

  • well done dear simmer--subscribe to my channel and watch extreme fsx performance videos--tx in advance, and lets fly!!

  • IFR is hard they keep saying tu turn

  • I made this approach the other day, Miama, accross the gulf to mexico city, 2 an a half hours, i left at 8pm eastern and got there at around 11:40 central, i was a bit nervouse because i was night and there was some mountain terrain on approach, made the ILS runway 23L, 20 knot tail-crosswinds ( i call it that because it was at an angle but closer to the tail

  • the approach is very difficult and dangerous due to the mountains and altitude , I was a bit nervous going into the fog , I didn't know if ATC would trow me right into a mountain only to tell me accend right before hitting like the computer ATC is known to do .

    Thanks for commenting.

  • As i was going into a mountain ATC told me to turn right and climb 1000 feet, it was a close cut, then after i cleared it ATC told me to decend 1000

  • try not to use ATC, you can download charts from any part of the world at ivao websites, its more fun, real, and you dont have to be afraid that ATC sends you to a mountain jaja ;)!!

  • @venom400 Try Making the weather fog and fly into zurich Switzerland, I was woried about the same thing but you were so close to the mountains about 200 ft above a mountain

  • what is te diff between ifr and ils approach/?

and the diff between ifr and vor/?

    thankyou nice vid.

  • IFR is Instrument flying rules .

    ILS is Instrument landing system

    VOR is VHF omnidirectional range

ILS is an instrument that uses lasers aimed at the sky to determine your decent rate , distance and relation of your plane with the runway (look carefully on the video you can see a purple line that moves as I align with the runway ) and its used exclusivly to land and it's a relativly new instrument .

VOR is used to find your way in the sky by using radio antennaes .

  • vor is a navigational system

the ils is what u follow down to the runway

ils approach is the type of approach

ifr is just the kind of weather your in....this is the easiest way i can explain it hope it helps u out

  • actually all commercial flights are required to fly IFR , regardless of the weather conditions , no Commercial flight should fly VFR

  • thats IMC (instrumental meteorological conditions) IFR has nothing to do with weather comercial flights must be in IFR regardless o weather, but its true that in IMC you must flight IFR no matter who you are =)!!

  • IFR means "instrument flight rules" ILS is "instrumental landing system" IFR basically means that you fly using your navigation and flight instruments, and with ATC support, ILS is a landing aid for u to land with no visibility at all (cat III) and vor is for navigation through the route, a navaid... (Y)

  • Hearing those sounds like I put my 737-800 sounds that say 1000 300 200 100 of these altitude

  • lets fly

  • To Acapulco bay !

  • ok!

  • will IFR flight Center you to the runway

  • not really , the tower will just ask you to intercept the ILS wich is a laser beam shooting up in the sky , (several actualy) so the tower will just put you on a trajectory to wich you will intercept the signal and can use your own instruments the find your way trough the clouds , thanks for watching

  • Would you prefer the IFR flight the best and realistic flight or the VFR:)

  • Well I always fly IFR when flying commercial planes with virtual passengers on my plane , it's more fun that way and I also think it's required on passenger planes.

  • Awesome im leaving to mexico friday july 18 2008 this was cool cant wait to go!!

  • Are you going to MExico city ?

Thanks for watching I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • Yeah tommorow! friday

  • awesome ! I'm so jellous !

Just one tip of advice , wear jeans and blend in , try if you can to drink bottled water and more importantly have fun !

Also visit the business section in avenida de la reforma where the golden angel is .

And Six flags magic mountain is down there too but I don't know how good it is.

Have fun and let me know how it went when you come back !

  • Yeah im already here using a public computer. And we visited the Statue OF Angel But 6 flags not yet

  • you have to go to Chapultepec , it's like newyork's central park , it has a real castle in there and tons of museums and attractions .

    Hope you are liking it

  • hey excellent video 5 * :), what are your specs please ? thank you

  • Im Back Now From Mexico City aah but i went to the feria of chapultepec and does fsx mess up your computer cause it messed up mine 2 times

  • it is pretty tough on your system .

And nice to have you back brother!

  • specs?

  • windows XP home , Athlon 64 3400 + 2 gig ram ddr 400 , raptor 10k rpm hard drive ,sound blaster X-FI ASUS K8V (the mobo is bad dont get it lol)

    Thanks for watching.

  • hey what are your specs? thanks man

  • how do you get the plane to say 500, 400, 300 etc... ive been wanting to know for ages!

also can you put the window screen wipers on?

  • it is an add on , forgot what is called right his minute , but I can really research this if you haven't figured it out yet .

    Thanks for watching

  • What add-on is this??

  • Awsome!!!!

  • What aircraft was this..was it 737?? Nice landing!!

  • Yes it is a 737-400 , Glad you liked it !

  • how come your course is 340 shouldnt itbe like 234 ? good vid (y)

  • I'm landing with ILS and the heading indicator on this craft is automatic so you don't have to manualy adjust it , however I understand that altough it should had been changed I don't have a co-pilot to do it for me and I was operating everything on final , on a real plane the first officer would be doing radios and most other controls for me while I fly the ship.

    Thanks for watching

  • Nice video :D I liked it!

  • thank you !

  • for the ignorant private pilot, what in the world is that clicking on rollout?

  • are you talking about the level for the flaps ? or the ticking mechanism behind the instruments that keeps the buttons unstuck ?

please point out the exact second so I can give you a more accurate answer .

    Thanks for watching

  • it starts around 9:11 and ends around 9:50

  • it is a realistic add on that "supposely" adds road "clicking" the one from the imperfections on the runway .

    Thanks for watching .

  • you must be very sexy smart and romantic to fly and land a plane and then set it to luis miguel music

nice job with such low viz

  • öhum ? hehe

  • FSX is a gimmick. You can do the same thing in FS9, only with better visual and better FPS. I still don't understand why people use FSX.

  • Well , when people fly they like to see prety stuff on the ground and pretty coulds and if your system can stand it why not.

  • Lol, thats funny. With FS9, you can have the same thing as FSX, you have many more airport and scenery addons plus its easier on the system. PS: you show one computer that did not cost $4,000 that can run FSX in full settings with more than 25 FPS.

  • but fsx is more deitaled so less fps fs9 less deiitaled(without add on scenery) but way better fraps!!

  • it also has much much detailed and realistic cockpit
