@revirado87 if he hasnt said anything or you havent figured it out, your motherboard might have that sata port turned off.... go into the bios and turn it on, then reboot and it wil recognize it and work.

Macs are made with the same exact parts that PCs are made from, except in a smaller case (the monitor). They just slap the "Apple" logo and name brand on it, then sell it for ridiculously large prices. So, moral of the story, PCs will destroy a Mac any day of the week. Sorry. Anyone know if it makes a difference which SATA connection (SATA 0 or SATA 1) is used on the MOBO for the primary boot drive? I just removed the second (data only) drive from my old Dell Dimension 8300 (which I installed a few years ago) and it now it would not boot up properly. I switched between the SATA connections on the MOBO before messing with the Bios (thinking it made no difference which one it was connected to) and now I can't remember which it was connected to before hand.
