I have a black and tan Coonhound and the shelter thinks beagle mix since we just adopted her. Most amazing, quite, laid back dog I have ever seen... she is alittle more rambuncious outside but thats to be expected.

My dog, Zarah, now is a B&T/Beagle mix :) She's a sweetie. Super smart (sometimes for her own good), loving, not very vocal but she does talk occasionally, likes dogs loves cats (lol), and acts like we never feed her, lol.
Oh i miss my old black and tan coon hound Sam! Won 10 coon hunts with him! I loved him so much! That one night was the saddest night of my life. He protected me from a mountain lion! And he died :(. I'm only 13 and i had him for 6 years. He was my first dog, and he's my last. It bring's me to tears when ever i think of that night. I'll tell you he was one of the best black and tans you'll ever find. R.I.P. Sam!

Oh, I am so sorry. Yeah, my hounds do like hunting a lot, but they do like to be "house hounds" or "couch hounds," too. Not surprising your Goonie was such a great hound. These black and tans are very nice dogs. I could not have four of them if they weren't so very responsive and great to be around.
I am so sorry for you loosing your dog. I had to put my Black & Tan "Shiloh" down on Christmas Eve. Talk about a shity Chirstmas. She was my baby! SO VERY SORRY FOR YOU!
Sorry to hear that man. Mine died a bit back after being with me since I was about 3 or so till I was about 15. I cried like nothing else when I sat and watched him get put down... One of the sweetest dogs I ever knew and just a goof. Him & my rottweiler have surpassed any other dog I've known in terms of personality.
He got a red ribbon the moment he was born. Then as he grew, I replaced the ribbon with a new strand. Then one day, I found that I had run out of the red christmas ribbon and no way to get more, but I did have some pink and that was close enough. Actually, he looked very cool in pink. Later, I ran out of pink and he got red, again. Even then we called that puppy, "Pinkie."
really beautiful dogs!!! I also have a 2 yr old female Black+Tan. she is 27 inches tall and wieghs 87 lbs. her fav thing to do is eating fish. raw. yes, raw. every summer we go to the lake every weekend and we catch 1 fish just for her and yes she eats it raw!!!

Gold pup, "Goldie" and Siegfried have been started and have barked treed. Green pup, "Boomer," lives on a horse farm. Pink pup went to a hunter, and so did Purple female, "Ann." White pup, we called "Super Shocker," after granddad hound, went to keep a young wife, of a soldier serving in Iraq, company. All are nice happy hounds. Thanks!

I have a mac so I used iMovie HD. The video clips were taken using a Kodak DX6440 and it downloaded to the Mac as a Quicktime video. Edited it and added music using iMovie then converted it to a MPEG-4 video before uploading it to You Tube. The picture quality is as good as it gets using this old camera. My female coonhound is just over 2 years old. She definitely needs to be exercised on a regular basis, but was a surprisingly great apartment dog before moving into our smallish house a few months ago.

Hi. Thanks for the comments. Males can range a bit in weight, I guess. Any where from 55 pounds and up. Sire to this litter is about 90 pounds.
