  • gimme the mr softy commer any day !!!!

  • omg how embarrasing

  • lively ice cream truck song - good as "Music Box Dancer".

  • That's it, just stand in the middle of the road and belch out your tune. I'm sure traffic will just go round you and kids won't mind being run over whilst picking up their treats.

  • I have a van called chealsea that comes down my street that plays this tune

  • free ice cream anyone?

  • COOL SONG!

Imagine Bill Cosby in the Ice Cream Truck " HEY KIDS!!!! want some Ice Cream? I got Pokemon Ice Cream...Jello ICe Cream...bwawawwaaa"

  • good song

  • OIH OIH CAPTAIN PUGWASH!

  • Remember Black Jake and Tom the cabin boy?

  • lmao, johnny anthem

  • This ice cream van has a funny music.

  • where is tht exactly cos i wanna go jst to hear tht

  • It was in Woodford Halse, a village in Northamptonshire, England, but that was two years ago.

The music is called The Trumpet Hornpipe and you could find that easily, and some of the TV programs, on YouTube.

Woodford Halse and Hinton are next to each other and sometimes people refer to the whole area as Woodford Halse. This video is from Hinton.

  • Whayyy, I'm in Northants too (Y)

  • You can hear it on this video.

  • captain pugwash is funny lol i used to watch it when it was on tv

  • Yes. It shows the value of music in making TV memorable also.

  • woah that's the best ice cream van I've seen, the ones in my area are crap

  • I like the music!

  • The tune has been used as the theme of a cartoon series, Captain Pugwash.

  • What is "Captain Pugwash"?

  • He's the leading character in the cartoon series, pirate captain of the Black Pig. You can see it on YouTube.

  • Nice to see an old Bedford CF booming out the Cap'n Pugwash theme!

  • the car nearly hit da van

    take a look at secen

    1.13

  • omg ur right

  • was this like in Ireland?

  • soo hillarious

  • I found some information on chimes:

"Micro Miniatures supply chimes to all the major van builders including Jiffy. Whitby, Simoncini, Phoenix, Brookfield, Cocozza, D&D, Gibsons."

They use mp3 or cd players nowadays, to feed the tune to the chime box.

  • There is one Ice Cream Van in Rhyl, North Wales which uses Micro Minuatures Harmony 64 electronic chime music

  • I don't know what clockwork chimes are. That van was in Woodford Halse, in Northamptonshire, and a newer van with a different name on it, an Italian name, in Oundle, has the same tune. Maybe they get tunes from the same place as their ice cream supplies. I expect they all use magnetic tapes nowadays.

  • an old van like that should have proper clockwork chimes on !

  • I found a site with a .mid file of the tune and it's called the Trumpet Hornpipe. The site has a lot of other tunes in the midi section, other hornpipes and different types of music - nigelgathererDotcom

  • But what's the name of it? I'll try and find out.

  • Captain Pugwash!

  • drugs any 1 ?
