  • A) both those trucks suck i've seen 10's by 6.0l B) any dumbass knows that you lose alot of speed if you raise a truck you lose aerodynamics C) at least they got the ford part right :)

  • The only people that say the 6.0 diesels are junk are the people not smart enough to be good mechanics. I'll admit, the 6.0 had a lot of problems in stock form but with a few upgrades before any problems occur, it can be turned into one reliable, badass engine! All it takes is a little know how. Something most lack. Mostly chevy guys. The 6.0 has tons of potential and is far from junk.

  • it's cheaper to get the hp numbers out of a 6.0. they come with more power. 6.0 is a multi valve head - the 7.3 is a 2 valver. the 6.0 is a good engine, smog is the issue. egr's/ coolers and crappy diesel + infrequent oil changes are it's worst enemy, still  i'll keep my 7.3!

  • @redneckman454: There is NO way the 6.0 is better than the 7.3... Ask any ford mechanic or enthusiast and they will tell you that the 7.3 will outlast and out haul the 6.0 any day.

  • @forutome wat it probably has to do with is the gear ratio in them and it looks like the 6.0 is a new truck so that plays a factor in it also i will say that u are right in that a 7.3 can outlast and out haul a 6.0 anyday but the gears are wat kills it in the drag race area but i still love ford and will only buy it for the rest of my life

  • @forutome Correction. 7.3= badass motor. Throw some ARP head studs, gaskets and delete the EGR on the 6.0 and you have a mean mother fucker. 6.0 suck stock. But once those are replaced its bulletproof.

  • 6.0 breaks down because of California emissions. Any time you put 1200 degree exhaust through 195 degree water cooler/filter, also known as Egr, things will break. Mine is an 04 with no problems BECAUSE the egr is deleted and I also have head studs. Spend 2 grand and save yourself 3 times that later. Great engine!!

  • look here, the 6.0 intially had more power, but the 7.3 is WAYYY more reliable. The reason? The engine was designed in Eourupe wich has low sulfer diesel, but the US has very high sulfer, and after about 150,000 miles, since the 6.0's couldn't handle it, the valves, etc locked up, got too gunky, etc...
