  • scott... you are very fit but with how much you lift and how hevy you lift in all your workouts... why are you more toned and not so huge like the other body builders that are like giant super humans... are most of them probably on steroids to bbe as big as they are... or is it the type of workouts you do and the way you do them??? or is it cuz they are naturally bigger people so when they work out they get bigger easier and you are naturally skinney so you get toned???? what is it??? thanks

  • @crotchrockett004 If you live off of thinking that huge muscle creates more strength then you have to get out of the old days(where they didn't know anything). All huger muscle does is give you better 'defense' and larger look. A "Tough" person can endure a lot. A strong person can deal a lot. Study is already showing how much more damaging a toned, lean, yet strong muscular look can be compared to just a huge bulky look.

    Besides these "tests" are easy studies that have been proven since the ...1970s.

  • Congratulations you've invented a way to compensate for bad exercise execution by increasing the risk to the lumbar spine and at the same time making it more difficult to achieve a proper contraction of the abdominal muscles.

    For gods sake spend some time and get an appropriate fitness qualification as it's quite clear you have non, or even the first idea.

    That would be great if your intention was to work your hip flexors and rectus femoris while simultaneously placing dangerous loading on the lower spine.

    You feel a 'burn' in the abdominals during such exercises due to your abdominals being contracted statically (isometrically) this leads to a build up of lactic acid hence the burn.

  • @Abdullah2009 Doing anything the wrong way will mess you up. Doing things the right way helps you adapt. And once you adapt to such arched back workouts it helps your back as well as posture and your workout routines become less strained compared to if it were your first time.

  • Fantastic man - I had already done my sit ups for today and came across this - I had to grab 2 pillows as they were a little flat for the lift I wanted and tried another set - the burn was amazing I got up actually feeling the workout far more then just on the ground ever could.
