Hey DJ TY, a question. can Serato Scratch Live Software(s). Do they need internet or wi-fi connection in order for you to play your music? or only if u need to download a some when your at gig event?
@jrDJREMIX no you dont need it unless you want to download new songs while your spinning. i actually turn mine off because its a waste fo the processor
Is there a way to do it through blue tooth capability. I have an itouch and it won't be able to connect to the same network as my computer if I font have internet connection, will it?
I have a question for agiprodj. You say at around 3:30 that you can run the aux out of the SL3 into any channel to control the volume and even add the effect to the iphone/touch sampler. I have the DJM 800, and also a TTM57SL. How would I hook it up if i don't have the SL3 with aux out into those mixers? Does the iphone/touch automatically start talking to the Macbook Pro through the wifi, or do you have to adjust settings within those two pieces of hardware? Thanks.
Hey Absolute. Thanks for watching the video. Actually what we are doing here is controlling DJ software with MIDI. That application on the iPhone isnt triggering any audio at all, so if we hooked a 3.5mm to rca cable up to the iPhone it wouldn't make a sound.
Hey Ty, DJ Louie from Atlanta here. Does it have to be a Mac PC or can it be windows pc and a touch screen iPod or iPhone, either way, I guess you can use it with a router not hooked up to the internet...right?
I am sure if there was the right kind of app, yeah you could. You nailed it...if you brought a router with you and made an Ad Hoc network even without Internet access your devices connected to that router could talk.
it looks like a DJM 700 because i thought the DJM-800
has nobs for the main volume control

That's pretty damn cool its wirelessly connected. I was only familiar with TouchOSC, which everyone is raving about, but this is great.

Can this iPhone MIDI app be used with SL1 or just the SL3? How is it connected to work with the software, bluetooth to the laptop?
parivera30 2 years ago
It can be used with any MIDI application. It is in no way connected with the SL1/SL3. The app talks to your computer over the Wi-Fi network
