Maharashtrians, including myself, don't dislike their brethren. But, they do feel marginalized in their own city and state. It has become an issue of political & economic access where the natives feel suffocated. Some may disagree with this view others may not.

I was not refering to the movie industry but the common workers who have to find jobs or others who do casual labor. Imagine a rural Bengali going to Kolkata to find work only to discover he is not wanted there or his language is a liability or the Bengali ethos has disappeared. In India, the states such as UP & Bihar have to catch up otherwise the mass migration will continue to reach a point that people in other states will get marginalized. This is also happening in Bengaluru as we speak.
