@pallmark1997 it most likely needs a carburetor adjustment. mine ran too lean straight out of the box. i had to buy a special tool to tune the carburetor myself, but you can probably get someone at a repair shop to richen it up a bit for you.
@pallmark1997 Hey man if your still having problems with your 128LD that carburetor adjustment tool is like $8.25 off of Amazon.com just type in carburetor adjustment tool its part #530035560. I had to do the same for my 128LD as well. Once the engine breaks in the carburetor will need to be adjusted but some come set from the factory too lean. You can also use that tool on most Poulan Pro/weed eater tools and lower end Husqvarna line trimmers, hand held blowers and chainsaws.
you know they just came out with a 4 cycle one the review are excellent on lowes.com but i think they use hondas gx25 engine. it looks just like it and it has the ohc and the dipstick in the same place. but then again that doesnt mean anything. im thinking of getting one of these
Nice weed eater. I just bought a brand new Echo srm230. havent had a chance to put it up against grass That tall. im startin to wish i had bought a huskie
@gatrwrks I had that intention even before I bought the machine. I just need to get my ass out to a place that sells the kit to put a blade on this one.
wow very impressive, If i have to do this every Saturday, I shoud probably get me one, I suggested that the Gas trimmer is stronger than the electric but he said that it cost $600 for a Gasoline trimmer.
@legendkiller2004 Yes it is. We get good weather at times, but of course a lot of the time the weather really sucks. It's been raining a LOT lately. My yard keeps getting flooded.
@KrankieV2 I know what you mean. I live in the north-west of Scotland and I've been getting a lot of rain lately and my back garden is just soaked all the time. I've been waiting to cut it for over a week now but it doesn't look very promising. If you don't mind my asking, where in upstate NY is this?
The propane trimmer is excelent That is my trimmer for my grandmothers house i dont have my own at my house and you know i found out that the propane trimmer is powered by a subaru engine
yeah actually i already found a website for the tool so i know where to go to get it but so far the propane weed wacker is working great no complaints but knowing you you dont like japanese products lol
I'm not sure, but I had a hard time burning up 2 gallons in it over the summer, and I used it at least 3 days a week for probably about an hour a day or more. I'd say ROUGHLY about 2.5 or 3 hours on a tank, more if it's not working too hard
my 128ld bogs down when it tries to cut grass that tall do any of u know why

@TheTrihorn1 sure is! even for a homeowner grade machine, it performs like a commercial one! I've had no trouble with mine.

KrankieV2 10 months ago
@KhmerDuval yes I do. it also is significantly more expensive and cannot be used with other attachments.

If you're worried about wind in your videos try using a plugin mic with a foam wind-shield. They can be had for fairly cheap these days.
Redsky42 1 year ago
@Redsky42 I need to upgrade to a better camera then, this one does not have a plug-in mic option.

@KrankieV2 New cams can be had for a song these days, even HD ones. Probably cost a lot less than your nice weedeatter even. :)
Redsky42 1 year ago
@Redsky42 Maybe so, but I've got more important things that I've got to pay for first. Maybe next year I can get a nice one capable of 720p HD.

You should put a brush cutter blade on it.

The 128LD works pretty great. You might want to get the tool to adjust the carb though, i had to tune mine which made it run much better.
