Whats so disturbing about this?? Many chicks obsess over clothing or shoes, hair, etc. Many people are pack rats that dont let go of anything. And other obsess with football and sports in general. And some people pay absurd amounts of cash for pieces or things that belonged or where used by movies stars. Each person has their right to love and obsess over the things that they like and can identify with. Its societys convictions that label them as absurd9 which does not apply all the time) .
My friend collected beanie babies and Elvis stuff when he was 10-20 years old. I never really got into collecting anything in that way. Him and his dad also did baseball/basketball cards they had TONS(2 BIG closets full of them). Half of them still in boxs never opened lol(for value). I really liked the cartoon(TMNT) in the early 90's when I was growing up played all the games too. Everyday after school jump on the couch just in time for TMNT :) Yall have nice collections !

Somehow I see all the pizza and the surfer lingo and the plushies, and I think they'd be creeped out by a blood covered Raph with a beer in one hand. Besides, look at who Eastman actually married! @PainMonkey Hate to break your bubble of thinking we don't know of the original Mirage Ninja Turtle Comics, though both Gina and I know Kevin Eastman. I personally first met Eastman and Laird back in 1992 and have seen both of them many times since. I'm a fan of all things Ninja Turtles from the comics, movies, toys and cartoon series. This show just decided to focus on the original cartoon when choosing which history to share, since I gave both.

I dunno, even though the first movie and the first season of the Fox series used a lot from the comics, the Mirage turtles seemed almost like different characters. A little more brutal, a little less lighthearted. So...i guess with access to two of the biggest fans in the known universe (can't speak for Dimension X), I guess i got two questions: what's your favorite topping, and are you pro-Venus or anti-Venus?
@PainMonkey 1. Pineapple and cheese, though I don't eat pizza to much unless there's an event going on of some sort. I do eat BLT pizzas from time to time, though been eating that since before TMNT when a local pizza place introduced it to me. 2. With Venus I only like her in the Next Mutation. I'm glad she was't kept, though I am a fan of the Next Mutation series.
@TurtleGirlIvey Somehow you gave off the impression of Hawaiian pie, I guess pineapple and BLT's close enough. You also did NOT give off the impression of an everyday-liverwurst-and-mayonnaise girl XD (thanks VH1). Wouldn't be surprised if Nickelodeon brought Venus back though >.> Most of these shots don't show off your collection of the supporting cast much. Don't see Casey or Krang or Yojimbo anywhere.
@PainMonkey Heh yeah, VH1 lied a lot and made up their own story really. I do support the other cast members, Yojimbo is a favorite character I got a great animation cell of him. For more of my collection and real story, check out my channel. Episode 40 is the making of the VH1 clip and I do a bit of a walk through. Ivey's Flashback 2 on my channel is the making of a Krang Puppet my dad made me, we ended up giving to Kevin Eastman.

I'd see them in a museum except that comics really are meant to be read, not displayed, even if that means triple washing hands and putting on the rubber glovesXD If its any consolation I think your camera work's better than VH1's. If you need a crew and edit the story and tell the person what to say, you're documenting wrong. Plus, I bet they paid for celeb interviews

@TurtleGirlIvey Well there are fans, and then there crazy people. When you let your obession take over your life, you have a problem. Going into debt for a cartoon is not healthy. That fact you "know" Laird and Eastman is scary. Do you really know them or are you like the people in the documentary "I Think We're Alone Now"? I love TMNT, but I've never felt they need to meet anyone behind any of the comics, movies, or cartoons.

Online and on TV I show my fandom stuff, though I got more of a life, like more tv shows, bands, & such. BTW each of those depts I got into back in the day, are paid off. I only do what I can handle.
@halofan224 So so true, for the most part I live a normal life. Biggest difference with me is I collect TMNT and wear TMNT clothes. I don't force it on my friends as we usually enjoy other tv shows and stuff when we hang out. I've seen fandoms that have seemed weird to me, but I always say to each their own. As long as no one is being hurt.

You should get your mind out of the gutter and pay attention to the story that's here, or go and find videos that more fit what you're looking for.
@demcakers They were attacking me years before I knew of TMNT. Because one kid in my class didn't like me, he got his friends to not like me and they got their friends and they got their older sisters and brothers. By 3rd grade I had High Schoolers attacking me for no real reason other than the fact that they could. The fighting stopped shortly after I got into Karate.
I agree with what somebody else said about this being better than the VH1 special, that really did just make her seem nothing but insane. @SuburbanSensei I don't see it as a way of coping, since I don't really care what the people from school think or even thought of me back then. I have a good family which helped me cope with that. The obsession is a part of ADHD & really finding something that I enjoy. And every time I started to fall out of the fandom something big would happen, meeting the creators, getting back stage at the tour, going on the set of the TV show and the list goes on. Most people would only associate a Turtles fan with silliness and counter productivity, but there was actually a emotional side affect to everyone's fandom including that of TMNT. You have to be brave to stand up to the bullying, and to fight for what you believe in, f the haters!
Different people are obsessed with all kinds of things, star wars, star trek, TMNT, comic books, religion, cabbage patch dolls... To each their own I say.
I've met people so into Star Wars it's ridiculous~ and don't even get me started on all the teens AND adults that spent hundred going to Blizzcon and spending thousands on an MMO.

Of course that don't account the adult fans from the original comic book which came out in 1984. Look at the TMNT craze of the early 1990's.. do you think all those people have given up their like for TMNT? Sorry but we're still out there. Most message boards have people from 25 to 50 years old talking. I'm not the oldest TMNT fan.

@BarrysBit Don't worry. I was into Legos big time as a kid. I had all these crazy models which I specifically told my mom not to touch. Once she broke most of them I just smashed them all into one box after I got pissed at her so many times. So what did she do with the box? I came back home one day to find out she had given it away. @snakes3425 I never forget about the comic books, nor will I ever forget about them. In fact when they asked me for the TMNT origin I gave both, they choose which one to use. I have Issue 1 first print signed by Eastman and Laird. I love the Mirage, Archie, Dreamwave and now IDW comics. So just because they didn't show it here, doesn't mean I don't like it. @snakes3425 Yes, there's a new Comic series that just came out this August with Kevin Eastman as a Co-Writer. It's a new reboot with a whole new origin story. Published by IDW, with Nickelodeon's name stamped in the cover since the Turtles now belongs to Viacom. Check out my video uploaded on September 22nd, this year. That's the interview I mentioned.
Lol, I saw a kid trying to win a TMNT plush with a Crane Machine, it got stuck on the crane so the kids walked away, then some random woman ran up to it, started hitting it, putting coins in and just wiggling the joy stick until it dropped out, maybe one of these came to England for a holiday!

@Danno1850 You're on the wrong video lol! Sorry, the pizza thing is a lie VH1 came up with. The weight gain is from other things... mostly an injury I got which had made it hard for me to work out. Believe it or not my favorite drink is water, I eat three meals a day & have pizza maybe 1 to 2 times a month. @seb2455 I have to say, you're wrong... it wasn't the TMNT that kept me out of my depression. It was my family. Yes I could of been much worse off, but my mom and Grandma was there for me during the worse times of the fights. The Turtles do not exist to me, I even know the creators. My passion/obsession stirs from real things that have happened to me. Making friends with people who work on TMNT, being on the set of the show, back stage at the concert, and more. @rickthetick00 Nah, I am a fan of the comics, they wanted us to focus on a certain area which was the old tv show but I tried to move it towards the movies a bit, and I showed comics stuff with the book.
I love the ORIGINAL Raph and all his subsequent incarnations....lol....had to throw that in there hahaa!!
@rickthetick00 I'm a fan of all medias, these TV shows seem to only focus on the original cartoon shows. Though when I answered I gave both back ground stories of Splinter. Of course that don't account the adult fans from the original comic book which came out in 1984. Look at the TMNT craze of the early 1990's.. do you think all those people have given up their like for TMNT? Sorry but we're still out there. Most message boards have people from 25 to 50 years old talking. I'm not the oldest TMNT fan.

Once she broke most of them I just smashed them all into one box after I got pissed at her so many times. So what did she do with the box? I came back home one day to find out she had given it away. @snakes3425 I never forget about the comic books, nor will I ever forget about them. In fact when they asked me for the TMNT origin I gave both, they choose which one to use. I have Issue 1 first print signed by Eastman and Laird. I love the Mirage, Archie, Dreamwave and now IDW comics. So just because they didn't show it here, doesn't mean I don't like it. @snakes3425 Yes, there's a new Comic series that just came out this August with Kevin Eastman as a Co-Writer. It's a new reboot with a whole new origin story. Published by IDW, with Nickelodeon's name stamped in the cover since the Turtles now belongs to Viacom. Check out my video uploaded on September 22nd, this year. That's the interview I mentioned.

@Danno1850 You're on the wrong video lol! Sorry, the pizza thing is a lie VH1 came up with. The weight gain is from other things... mostly an injury I got which had made it hard for me to work out. Believe it or not my favorite drink is water, I eat three meals a day & have pizza maybe 1 to 2 times a month. But even at this weight I can walk the streets of NYC, run up and down steps, and still touch my toes. Thanks for your concern. *G*

Yes I could of been much worse off, but my mom and Grandma was there for me during the worse times of the fights. The Turtles do not exist to me, I even know the creators. My passion/obsession stirs from real things that have happened to me. Making friends with people who work on TMNT, being on the set of the show, back stage at the concert, and more. @DUCKTAPE702 Kids were picking on me before TMNT, it was because one kid didn't like me and he got his friends not to like me, they got their friends, they got their older sisters and brothers... & bam... ya get picked on. This started in KG with picking on me, by 3rd grade it was fights where they ganged up on me. I learned of TMNT in 5th grade. So really the Turtles got nothing to do with it, true kids did pick on me for being a 'female Turtle fan' but they would of picked on me for anything.
