i'm trying to choose between yaris hatch 2012, hyundai elantra 2012, and accent 2012...the design for yaris is finally more comparable, thus back on my list for comparison...hyundai has powerful engines and also have better fuel economy...but is totally truly a better brand?? good enough to sacrifice fuel economy??
This is a subcompact car...at least it is supposed to be. Most new subcompact cars are as large as or similar in size to the previous generation of compact model directly above them in their lineup.
@Kuessemir Dude -- maybe they realize that if you go too small then everything starts looking like a smart car , Translate that as fugly .For a tiny car this thing is pretty nifty .Parks on a dime sips fuel and has a back seat for your lap top -- or a couple of ugly kids ----- I know they're ugly because youre girlfriend was ugly to let you take her home in a cheap car --- no problem at least she can clean the washroom & windows while the cute ones are whoring around with your friends .Later )

Its greatly improved over the outgoing model, but unfortunately compared to the Fiesta, Fit and Rio it still looks a bit dowdy. But considering how well Toyota did with the previous generation I can see where they don't want to take too many risks and possibly hurt their sales.
Good sir, you made a ugly car look better, but how will you out beat the Fit? The Fit handles amazing and is 0-60mph in 8.3 seconds, that is good for a little car. I want to know specs that count, if i didn't care, i would buy a Prius.
Does anybody know if this car will offer a sunroof in canada? or if they will offer that glass roof? i mean cmon even an old chevy aveo or nissan versa offer one.
@kjftrio I've driven the 2, and it is fantastic. But you know what? It doesn't comes in a 3-door hatch for my market, so it wasn't considered. I bought a mazda 6 instead.
But the '12 Yaris will come as a 3-door hatch, and if it drives well, I very well may get one myself.
The outgoing model was awful. I loathed it with a passion. It was arguably one of the ugliest designs ever. The new model? Much better. It actually has a personality! It looks spunky and fun. I like the interior too. Finally, Toyota has built a car worth considering.
After seeing this car, I consulted my thesaurus for stronger synonyms of "crap."
