nope, you can zoom in for an over the shoulder view, but thats as close as your gonna get, it is still however in beta, so perhaps that will be added in the alpha build, but I doubt it

Release you mean my friend, Alpha is the stuff that nobody except for handpicked testers that work in the office sees. Beta are usually over the internet. A closed beta usually consists of people picked to play the game that had applied. Open beta is anyone who applies can play. Last but not least, the Release of the game is the final stage when absolutely everyone can play.
