1. the price: you get the htc touch hd, i think for 300€ and the htc touch hd2 (leo) costs 600€

2. screen: like you perhaps already know the screen of the htc touch hd2 is 4,3'' big and the htc touch hd has only an 3,8'' resistiv touchscreen. But the size of the mobile phone is pretty the same.

the definition of both phones is 480 x 800 Pixel.

Your english is fine man... You have to pay the price of innovation. HD2 has 1GHz processor and is a first WM phone with capacitive screen, largest screen, the most RAM memory ever. And you're right, they are pretty much the same dimensions, HD2 has a very thin border around the screen...

We did not try it out in the sun, did not have the time. However, light sensor is much more efficient in low light conditions / quick changes.

yeah man, it has to react immediately, not a few miliseconds later. The longer you have the thing, the slower it will get. See 0:39, or 0:43 for example. It just takes a bit too long. That's at least annoying for a phone that costs several hundreds of dollars.

It may quite well be the fastest, but that doesn't have to mean that it's fast, duh. Have you seen how slow the flicking trough the pictures went? I have an HTC for over a year now, and the lack of speed is terrible, kills the entire machine. This seems to be working the same way.

That's clearly a software problem. What they need to do is put in a grid system to alternatively look at pictures from, because that picture flipping animation is just too slow. But everything else is really fast, and I don't use a phone to flip through pictures.

You need both of you hands to do those simple tasks that can be easily done with ONLY one hand using some simple gestures.

It will run Windows Mobile 7. I think Windows Mobile 7 will be great. Features in Windows Mobile are already great. The interface is not the same as those of iphones and Android because the later two support capacitive screens, and are easier to use. WinMo 7 will support capacitive screens and will be very convenient to use. Features will already be there. I own an iPod Touch and a WinMo 6.1 resistive screen. I can't breathe under the tight ship run by Steve Jobs.

Actually it will be released with Windows Mobile 6.5 (which you can see in this video).

In general, all Winodws Mobile versions support capacitive screens, but Microsoft always required OEMs to include a stylus. Because of this, and the price, they've only used resistive screens till now.

Windows Mobile 6.5 has been optimized for finger use, but the pinch-to-zoom feature on the Leo comes from HTC, it will only be supported natively by Windows Mobile 7.

Windows Mobile 6.5 is finger friendly enough, especially on that huge 4.3" screen, and it's got fewer limitations than Android.

But there's really not that much of a difference.

iPhone OS and Symbian are crap, the one being totally limited (artificially crippled by Apple) and the other lacking good apps and finger-friedlyness.
