    A Big Applause from Spain

  • What were the chords or tabs that you used for the clean tone? Because every time i look for the most accurate tabs of that part they suck bad. Yours was perfect! And by the way badass cover good voice!

  • nice

  • Man that was awsome.

  • kick ass that was awesome 5 star

  • You are obviously very able and talented. Your voice is amazing. Please e-mail me back. If you would like to get together and play/rock/jam and just sing, I would love the experience. You are really exceptional!

  • damn sweet cover thats what that is right there!! great job!!

  • def. can sing, sounds awesome. ~cerise keller.

  • U ROCK LIKE 80'S STYLE!!!!!!!!!

  • This tune came off 311's 1997 'Transistor' CD. FWIW I do dig on 80s music quite heavily.

  • 80's music all the way. ^.^

Sadly I wasn't alive then, the music scene has gone down hill. (rap)

You're voice reminds me of the Misfits, though. Luckily for you, I like the Misfits. :p

  • This is from the 90's.

  • arnt you a little old to be playing 311

  • Nick Hexum: Born April 12, 1970 in Madison, Wisconsin.

Video artist here: Born July 1968. That would make me 21 months older than Nick Hexum.

I also do love that the "millennials" need to label anyone outside their genre with "too old", "materialistic" or other adolescent tags. The point of 311's music - by it's exploratory nature - is to transcend stereotypes.

  • So true, 311 has music that trandscends ages. Last year i saw people ages 14-50 when they were on tour... How many bands maintain a fan base like 311? Not many.

  • agreed

some of the only ones ive seen are rush and of course 311

  • @rhcprxbandits aren't you a little too young for the internet?

  • ur a beast!

  • dude that was fucking awesome

  • nice version keep rocking Omaha styleee

  • i'd never imagine such a good cover for this song. You truly pulled it off. Hey could you send me the tabs for the part where you start singin "Day seems like a good day." ect.

  • ur so fuckin amazing! can you send me that tabs for the part where you start singing "day seems like a good day...." ect.

  • spechless

  • Bauhaus + 311 = rock on dude.

  • speechless....it was awesome......seriously

  • lol dude try to be a little happy

  • Gothic dark misery works on this end - plus it helps the concentration. But hey all constructive comments are taken

  • I like this version more than the original too, it's more eerie, and therefore with my opinion, better.

    Ace vocals, too!

  • Your version is awesome. I like it. And you sung also.. Thats hard to do...

  • I like this version.. I hate people that get mad when people don't play songs EXACLY like the band plays them =D

  • Glad you liked it.

I tried to have all notes, vocals be spot on. Nick and the other guy are using that Eventide harmonizer or such on each solo segment so it's kind of impossible to mimic.

You do what you can with unmicd vocal - one Fender amp.

  • Its actually just 2 guitars..."dueling" if you will...Hexum on a Les Paul, and Mahoney on his PRS. Your version is still cool... I just wanted to clarify.
