  • @lexavier1 True comments. When we recorded this video, it was our first time to use it. We've learned a bit since then.

  • @aw3212 I'm not sure of the model. I think it has been discontinued. It was about a hundred bucks.

  • I was a daily juicer years ago and decided to start again, watched "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead" last night on Netflix, found the recipe for the Mean Green drink and made it today. I only drank about 8 oz at a time, knowing that drinking too much at once will knock me out, especially at first. My Acme Juicerator sat on the shelf for a long time. Thank God I saw that documentary last night. It all made sense then, and it makes sense now. Glad I woke up.

  • @frespirt1002 What do you mean 'knock you out'? I just started juicing but I've been eating raw and had some mean detox symptoms... Don't want to kill myself juicing!

  • @janelletw I should have said, "knock the stuff out of you"... or maybe "push the toxins out faster than your body can handle it." It won't kill you!, but just go easy at first, like don't drink 2 qts of Mean Green at once. Don't drink plain beetroot (red beet) juice or too much of it at once (2 oz in 12 oz carrot juice) as it is a liver detoxifier. That's all.. I didn't mean to alarm you.. I will be more careful of how I say things... Happy Juicing!!!

  • which model Breville is that? ~cost? Thanks for the demo - i read a lot that the juicer can not handle leafy greens well, but it looked fine to me.

  • Im just starting to juice myself and and looking for recipies. I have a Breville but different model. It says in the instructions, cut the machine on "before" putting anything in the chute which makes sense so that you dont bend the blades. The other thing I do is after the juice is in the container, I either take a spoon and swirl it around or pour it from the container into another container back and forth to assure that it mixes well.

  • I just got that juicer last night at a10 PM at an early Black Friday sale, and I cannot wait to start juicing! I will go to the farmer's market today and will use this recipe to make my first juice. Thanks.

  • Add about 2 handfuls of spinach & 1/2 Zucchini, a small 1/2 bunch of parsley (very good for you) and a little lime as well - SO good!! A "Red" dink that you can try, which is SO very good is: 1-beet, 3-carrots, 1" of fresh ginger root, 2-green apples (or you can use red or one of each, whatever you like), parsley and some lemon & lime juice...mix it up and it is ADDICTIVE!! Enjoy your juicer!!

  • @Weetie80 It really is good. The recipe we use now is 4-5 kale leaves including stems, 4 stalks of celery, 2 granny smith apples, half of a lemon peeled, a 1 inch piece of ginger peeled, and a cucumber. This creates about 32 ounces of juice that is great for a full meal.

  • @MrAsimOnline I'm drinking the juice for nutrients and weight maintenance, not weight loss. That said, I drink green juice as a dinner about 4 nights a week. I will drink all 28-32 ounces made from this recipe. I also drink about 16 ounces of carrot, apple, celery juice for breakfast a couple of times a week.
