  • What an unusual melody the song has. Very interesting. Love OÇarolan's- just lovely.

  • Wonderful.....

  • This is my favorite rendition of O'Carolan's Concerto. Chris Newman is an outstanding player.

  • Beautiful. 7 generations abroad can't break the connection Cornish music has with its descendents.

  • what an amazing guitarist!!!!!

  • There will be a new Brenda Cd available later in the year from a previously unheard Paris concert; check out the living in cornwall website for details.

  • Kernow kensa!

  • ruskin1900 Amazing news for all you Brenda Wootton fans. Previously unheard professional recordings of the complete Paris concert. Sample tracks can only be heard at the livingincornwall website.

  • I've just listened to them, what a find! lets hope they can be released in some way. It's been a long time coming, Brenda was a great singer and took the culture of Cornwall around the globe.

  • Cornwall for ever!

  • The first tune is Turlough O' Carolan's

  • yeghes da!

  • Thankyou for putting this up -I had never heard this amazing lady before but I'm addicted to her wonderful voice already THANKYOU.

  • Chris Newman is a guitar legend! I met him several times when my parents ran folk clubs in Swindon. I was fascinated by his playing. As for Brenda - she IS the face of Cornish music. I love her songs. My dad was a huge fan & friend & he passed on all his old LP's. I only wish I had been able to meet her & see her live. What a star!!!

  • What a voice!

  • This first part sounds like a Piece by Turlough O'Carolan. I claim Perjury on whoever thinks that this is a cornwall song. The second Part may be Cornish however. but still, Credit where Credit is Due.

  • Absolutely, the first part is O'Carolan's Concerto. John Renbourn also does a great version of this. But this version is very beautiful, especially followed by Brenda Wooten voice - sublime!

  • i had the pleasure of being at a concert by Brenda and chatting to her afterwards, she signed a LP i won. sadly i dont have today. i think it was in the 70s at the marymass folk festival. Ray

  • What a find.

Somebody out there has to do a contemporary version of this song. It has so much potential.
