I have had a go at this before at home, it takes a lot of practise would be nice one day to try that, just do one section at a time & any bit that gives you problems keep going over that bit, doesnt matter about getting the right tempo to start off with concentrate on getting the notes right first, with practise it will pay off.
Love the tempo - especially with the accel. at the end. This recording captures the inherent sense of fun in this piece, and uses the registration of the instrument and empathetic timing to tease out the cheekier passages. Next to this, most other interpretations sound a little unimaginative.
@silverstartrucker - I thought there would be a copyright problem with this so I did not use a photograph of the Liverpool Cathedral organ. The excellent organist is Richard Lea.
i sure would love to hear it on that there Klais though!

The organ in the photo is the Klais organ in the Reykjavík Hallgrímskirkja.

This was very well played and although I prefer it played faster, it is a matter of personal taste.
When there is a long reverb, perhaps it is better slower.
Many recordings of this piece sound like the pedals are out or time with the hands.

Brilliant piece of music, played with precision too! :-)
