I love in in her other movies but her attempt at the English accent was kinda shaky. Its like all the pitches were wrong if that makes sense.. You can either do the accent great (JM) or you cant :(

@DancingGirl1010 At least she's tried... What would you rather have, an actress who tries to respect a writer by at least attempting to do a British accent or an actress who doesn't bother and just speaks with their own accent?

Of course, there is the option of having a British actress do the part, but the filmmakers seemed to have forgotten that option... :P

@DancingGirl1010 I thought her accent was near perfect - if I didn't know she was American I probably wouldn't have guessed from watching this film, and certainly not from this scene. I think she was excellent as Jane Austen.
