This was an intresting story. I did like the first person view but the story felt it had lacked some real key info. Why would a thief drink from her cider? Infact it really had tring to belive the thief was looking for a secret. He wanted to know what made the apples grow better but yet he was acting like he was looking for cooking recipe. It was nice but do to the editing you left many holes in your plot. Still I though it was good.

Good point with the "everyone has to drink the cider" comment, but to your other there's an answer. The dead bodies came first. Not all of her fertilizer has to come from people who try to steal the recipe. Who's to say she doesn't go around kidnapping/drugging people and burying them. In fact, I had a part of my script where it showed her getting her first body - a homeless man who wouldn't be missed. However, the contest had a 5 minute limit, so I had to cut a bunch of stuff out.
