  • And to think. 18 years later on this date we have three tornadoes in the Kentuckiana area.

  • I remember this, I was out of school for 2 weeks. We became known as the city that was halted world wide. Before this they hardly salted the roads, since then they put salt down with one slow flake. It was better than the ice storm we had last year by the fact we didn't lose power.

  • It was this storm and following arctic blast that combined to cause Louisville to experience its all time record low of -22°F (-30°C) that still remains intact to this day.

  • A ton of snow and -22 temperatures (where I lived north of Borden, IN)  = super mess. I remember this all to well and hope I never see anything like it again. Thanks for sharing though. I love your channel with all the video clips from the Louisville area.
