  • It's nice to hear Hawking surmise that black holes are actually portals to other dimensions. When we consider the first law of thermodynamics - that matter is neither created nor destroyed but simply changes form - and when we consider the singularity theory - that it is the center of a black hole and the origin of the universe - it's not a far stretch to imagine that black holes can transport information to alternate dimensions.

  • What a brain do we have humans..read first 4 words and think who did assume the Big Bang theory and was he a Muslim? "Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing Then will they not believe? " so simply ALLAH or the one and only GOD we know talks about it what made the modern Muslims who read and hear about this theory hold there religion...read about Qura'an you will be surprised

  • this was insane! im just eating noodles, then he says "imagine a bowl of noodles", super string theory is like that. now my noodles are even better.

  • i agree with string theory. I believe that both theories could work together one could be the anatomy of creation and the other could be the physiology of creation. another dimension's/galaxy's growth could have caused the strings to vibrate and caused a big bang.

  • If one Big Bang does seed other multiple big bangs, and those Big Bangs turn out to be similar universes, doesn't that destroy the Law of Conservation of Matter, and Energy?

  • @Dmidltn1 I dont think so, think in a granade, is gunpowder if you will, and pieces of metal, when it explodes that powdwer becomes energy and those pieces of metal go flying, the granade is not longer there but everyone it does not mean it desapeared but transformed into serveral other things ^^

  • @AdolphX But from where does the matter for all of those other Big Bangs come, the grenade as you said explodes into other (smaller) things then those pieces would have to, sort of, grow into grendades to start other big bangs. The energy left over from the first blast may be enough to pool together to start smaller big bangs, and maybe all of the matter in such a universe are only fragments, maybe we come from a super big bang, like we are the embers of a fire that will never go out.

  • very good point my friend, have you heard of dissapearing matter in black holes, a theory from Stephen Hawking, it says that inside a black hole theres a tiny point where the gravity and density of that point is infinite, and matter, or information just dissapear, but not actually dissapears but go into another dimension where there are no black holes but holes where matter or information suddenly appears from nothingness like a door to another dimension yes, sounds crazy but he said it not me

  • @Dmidltn1 Two implications can be derived from that statement. Either it's a continuous fragmentation process, analogous to that of a massive fission-decay event. Or you would probably prefer an implication where there once existed multiple pockets of matter along a pipeline.

In otherwise, in a linear progression of time, they might just happen in unison all the same. In turn of facilitating others, it self-facilitates.

    These are just speculations.

  • @TaleDreamer It would be very neat if the validity could be tested, by modern science that is.

  • LOL at 3:00 a bowl of noodles, its theflying spaghetti monster :D

  • @Typho0n86 lol thats it lol we have evidence for the flying spagetti monster

  • @FIGHTFANNERD3 I think you are confused, however if you can point out the evidence where he said that id like to see it (re: another dimension). a black hole doesn't ness. go into another dimension, it has streams of radiation which fire out in a paralell torch from the middle of the black hole, where matter is reconverted back into the building blocks of new matter and the whole process starts over. a black hole is actually, the universe's recycling factory of matter.

  • woot just answered my own question in 10 sec lol

cause a rock is smoked littlejackson55 LMAO

  • woot just answered my own question in 10 sec lol

  • why does the first instance of time have to be perfect symmetry? I would have though more a perfect unbalance - a perfect difference, a perfect imperfection... I think the perfect symmetry existed before time was even a concept - when their was nothing, when there was non-existance

  • forget about anti matter, what about anti-light?

  • Why are humans the smartest? its so easy, Communication-the ability to share thoughts. thoughts make up the universe i beleive.

  • @littlejackson55 what makes you think that complexity is smart, a rock seams pretty peaceful to me, a bit like heaven. No pain, no grief, no war...

  • @heyZuesification thats not what i was getting at and rocks arnt peacful hippies are

  • to HomoLudens~ I did see that one carl sagan on the gods have gods~ and I love carl sagan I have all 13 episodes of the cosmos and I love everyone of them thank you for the info...and time marches on we cannot slow time down or stop it or even grasp it but its there and then?? its gone!! strange as time may be its a truth that makes all things possible it seemd to speed up sometimes and this is a strange thing but we can,t see it feel it or touch it but its there!! its the strangest thing of all

  • if you want to know what is ?~go to utube and punch in~EVOLUTION OF LIFE ON OTHER PLANETS: EVEN THE GODS HAVE GODS~its by rhawn Joseph~ I think you will enjoy this very much and it makes more sence than what these scientist are telling us....and most of what he says has been proven remember? nasa needs billions of our tax dollars they won,t tell us everything or we will cease to give them all our money..think about this for awhile~~~

  • @55paintermanThat´s nice, I was going to suggest the video "Carl Sagan on "Gods" and "God"".

But I don´t fully agree with your comment. I could very well imagine, that Hawkings ideas might well be that of an infinite universe. Still I see the point that many scientists still believe in "objectivism" and propably aren´t as open-minded as Hawking and can´t give up the idea of determinism..

I´m German btw, and US still get reperation payments from Germany, so I pay for NASA, too!

  • @TheHomoludens I am glad that nasa gets all the funds they need but still? they need to tell us the truth of all that is for some reason I think they don,t tell us everything I don,t know why but I suspect its a goverment thing maybe for the fact that some people may panic or go anti religious and this could change the overall hold that the goverment has on the public or whatever but your absolutely right I am glad that science gets all the funding it needs to move ahead into the Future thanks..

  • all in all? we will never find the real answers as to what who or where we are because the light that started it? is gone foever..so we must go on from there when we ourselfs become as gods millions of yrs, from now we will see the light getting brighter and brighter and so on its like we are blind right now but time has all the time to wait it out so we cannot push the time nomatter how much we try~ take it easy have fun it will all come in TIME my Brothers.for we are all one entity. the same!

  • @55painterman I have the impression that you came to similar conclusions as I did.

Don´t let the confusion caused by these thoughts drag you down, it turned out to be the best realization I´ve ever had and could possibly ever have.

    Greetings

  • @TheHomoludens the thing that bothers me? is if they only point the hubble in a certain direction for so many hours they may not be seeing all of whats really there and they tell us the universe is 13,700 billion light yrs.? I don,t think so I don,t think there was a big bang at all inflation can be to us as a flower growing to a molocule it seems fast but it is relative to our point of view einstein was right on alot of things but redshift doesn,t see all at those distances, at all, its too far

  • all in all? we will never find the real answers as to what who or where we are because the light that started it? is gone foever..so we must go on from there when we ourselfs become as gods millions of yrs, from now we will see the light getting brighter and brighter and so on its like we are blind right now but time has all the time to wait it out so we cannot push the time nomatter how much we try take it easy have fun it will all come in TIME my Brothers...for we are all one entity. the same!

  • creation go,s on FOREVER! it has been going on forever & it always will, it is a forever process we can figure out lots of science and go on to become creators ourselfs in the far Future but as for the original natural creation? this has been going on FOREVER & always will & never ever end for how can it? if you could go into space you can go in any direction FOREVER! this alone Blows your brain to pieces because we cannot comprehend this, as for creation? its the same its a FOREVER~ETERNITY,

  • @55painterman wat

  • @55painterman Have a look at "being no one" by Metzinger on YT. You´ll get your answers.

  • @TheHomoludens I have looked at metzinger and this seems to be more about mind over matter and this is not what I am insinuaten about this I have seen where a person loses his arm in a war and yet the pain persist but when they put a mirror in front of the other hand it seems to help with the pain psycologically but this is not a continuation of whats going on in reality but it does point out mind over matter is a very strong phenomonon, but is this what reality is all about? maybe ??

  • @55painterman It´s not eays to follow Metzinger ´s conclusion´s, but basically his definition: "consciencess" can be considered the "observation of the act of observing" leads to the conclusion that there must be an "observer" that is not subject to time - and imho that perfectly fits Hawking´s thinking with an eternal universe.

In consequence I feel free to call this "conciousness", "God", "universe",... because basically it´s "all that is" and all that might be - the totality of being.

  • @TheHomoludens ~yes but don,t forget? we can only see 20% of what really is, we are probabley all squished inside a computer and we all must do our part to keep it running for as you know nothing last forever not even time so even time must be an illusion, created by far advanced living beings not god ~god is just a word for our ignorance ~once we find what dark matter is? it will answer lots of questions and we may be closer to the truth but the truth is an illusion also so what is to be? well?

  • @55painterman sorry, should propably go to bed...

    it should have been "consciousness"

  • when he talks about going from young to old to young again it makes me think about reincarnation.

  • where did the string come from? Is the string god?

  • Ed Witten is the true definition of a smart ass! ;-)

  • i might as well be a duck or monkey, cause i dont get it... :(

  • what a puff that edward witten is

  • wonder in the future if it will be possible to connect the dots/lines and see the perfect univers befor the big bang, or should i only sey the *perfect*? because befor the big bang there was no univese... only this ultimate perfection.. (in theory..)

  • I like Michio Kaku. But his statements often give me pause. This documentary was made in 1997. But even today his statements about String Theory would be considered bold. It's a beautiful theory. And thanks to Ed Witten, now a logically consistent, and single theory. It's probably the best candidate for being the "right" theory, but lacks even a shred of experimental evidence because it is fiendishly hard to test in the real world. LHC *might* turn up evidence in support of the extra dimensions.

  • A whole bunch of noodles exploded and created the universe. But who created the damn noodles? Or are the noodles just "are"?

  • A time will come when we can't believe how stupid we were to think a God exists. Religious leaders rely on their weak minded subjects to continue in this world. Without the easily manipulated people, religion would fail.

  • @tabman2 , Just let me believe in God, and I'll let you believe that a bunch of noodles exploded and created the universe.

  • @chrisman737 : Sorry. No. We can't very well all have our own different realities. But let's stick to facts. Your god has nothing but irrational superstition to support him. String Theory (now M-Theory) is now logically consistent, but *very* difficult to test experimentally today. Best to keep the discussion to the Big Bang, where science is on very firm experimental ground. Whereas all you have is "The Bible and my mom tell me so". Pre-BB speculation is not *yet* really science.

  • I have another possible theory,

Genesis 1 in the beggining god created the heavens and the earth....

    JOKE!!! lol

  • No, we may not be smart enough to understand the theory of everything. Which is precisely why I approve of the idea of altering DNA, or optimizing the genetics of the children we bear. I think it's a great idea to go ahead and let there become 2 separate species of human; the genetically altered (superior) and the non-altered (inferior). I believe it will accelerate, or probably more accurately, give us the ability, and intelligence to improve the human race, and grant so much more opportunity!

  • @KingLantto yeah fuck the dumb religous bible bangers

  • "so ahead of its time, that its time may not have come". isn't the whole idea of being ahead of your time, that your time hasn't come yet?

  • i put babys on pedestals

  • They do have mathematical proofs for String Theory. Unlike gods, who don't even have THAT.

  • @soedblackchaos God doesn't need a proof for the laws of the universe because he is the creator of the universe. Existence of God is a very controversial topic. In the end it is a matter of faith.

  • @x6801 faith is just reasurrance of a thought. that only exists in the brain. when your preacher tells you to have faith in jesus hes just telling you- hey keep buying my opium (jesus) so i can have a job next sunday, keep making something up in your cause thats the only place it can exist

  • @MrJackclarke This is just your opinion. To believers Christ means something more. It's something way more profound. In orthodox (eastern) christianity we have "evidence" that God lives between and inside us through the Holly Spirit. You judge without knowing the subject adequately.

  • @soedblackchaos your theorys are just as good as the bible..you cannot say that there is a 0% of christianity..nothing can be said with absolute certainty..correction..nothing "should"

  • @soedblackchaos String theory is still philosophical just as god is philosophical. There is no experimental results that higher dimensions and parallel universes exist. So the way I see it, string theory is describing the mind of god.

  • Nothingness became conscious...and ta da everything just was and is..HA!

  • is it possible to understand this stuff with a grade 8 education ? ~~~ or am I just an alien? :S sincerely :S ~~

  • Don't worry, you can't understand it because even the people who dreamed it up are totally confused. you must be smarter than them.

  • Technically true. Haha, that's the great part of String Theory, is that no one understands it, because it's all just allegations and assertions without evidence, but is an effort of logic to try and explain the universe.

  • it does reach kinda far for what we know. but thats how u make discoverys and leaps in knowledge. u goota be wrong before u can learn how to be right!

  • You are not an alien, dear. It takes a lifetime of study to understand this complicated stuff. It takes more than just science to comprehend it, so don't sweat it, just watch, learn, enjoy. It will come to you.

  • @tubeuserrr I'm a grade 6 and i understand it fine. Not calling you stupid tho.

  • @hasteve101 no, you understand the version presented here. the simplified version.

  • @ChipChipBreak well, of course. you dont expect me to understand rocket science do u?

  • quote "Ed Witten, the smartest man on the planet"..unquote

  • It's MY Theory, i don't even fully understand it myself but what if our futuristic alien ship already exists could we call it in? we could have created it wiith Inflationn, maybe its already on its way here...@guitarmaniac1st

  • "Gagut theory" of Pr Gabriel Oyibo unified sir Isaac Newton & Einstein's Theory. Check it out right here searching "Gagut theory" or "Oyibo" , or "African science of universe".

  • Who're you ? Are you Oyibo ? Hey Gabriel, is that you ?

  • string theory is a STORY. it's a story told via numbers [by ed witten et al.], rather than words, like traditional stories [told by traditional story tellers who knew little or no formal numbers or the algorithmic theories behind them]. but like every other story, it purports to "explain" what everything is and how they came to be! surprised? lol

  • see the spaghetti, feel the spaghetti, be the spaghetti

  • right back at ya@thebigt82

  • Thought about the FSM too!!!

  • String is philosophy. Until we make a kick-ass microscope. Einstein actually knew of this theory and described it as "absolute bullshit from a bunch of brainless turds". Yes, he had quite the mouth on him.

  • Michio Kaku is a hack.

  • where do you teach physics?

  • im hungry now..

  • the flying spaggetti monster was spotted in spain their is video on yopu tube i think.

  • thanks for this

  • a bowl of noodles? The Flying Spaggetti monster lives!
