  • great landing

  • Good Video. :)

  • @as97ir maybe you like this.

  • Beautiful, robust beast ... thanks for the vid.

  • VERY BEAUTIFULL,

  • Nice wing flex and vortex

    Pratt and Whitney sounds good

  • Nice wing flex and vortex

  • The 747-400 with those huge Pratt&Whitney engines are a marvel to watch from the perfect window seat. Do you remember your seat assignment? Nice work-

  • what's the model of those engines?

  • Wow, powerful engine. Look at those smokes.

  • 3:35 - Nice shot of the reverse thrusters at work, especially with the rain water on the runway.

  • Best window seat

  • hey hacki22, what do you use that makes your videos as smooth as it gets?

  • Great Movie ....great view...want to be there once...Ehud from Tel Aviv

  • nice video high quality i love it GREAT MACHINE AND REALY NICE SOUND

  • imagine chuck norris getting sucked in to one of those turbines EPIC!

  • @bwhit366 Grow up kid. Why come here to post trash.

  • @bwhit366 imagine you getting sucked in... that'd be more epic...

  • imagine chuck norris getting sucked in to one of those turbines EPIC!

  • Ahh singapore airlines will always be the best no matter what.

  • I'll miss the Singapore Airlines B747s for sure. :(

  • @Plane747 are they getting rid of them?

  • @Techno04335 Yes, unfortunately so. :( They might be gone by the end of this year. SIN-NRT-LAX will become an A380 from March, which leaves only SIN-FRA-JFK as the sole B747-400 flight, with occasional services to Melbourne and such.

  • @Plane747 Well I hope Singapore will buy some 747-8i's!

  • zzz havent been on a 747 for a long time. its mostly been a330's

  • great...changi airport..just 5 km from my flat.

  • flawless landing...ALWAYS!!!

  • was that actually sonic boom at 2.50

  • Great video.. thanks for uploading!

  • thai is the best fools

  • i take plane insanely just because of my job needs and mileages......:)

Never noticed before that aeroplane is one of the ultimate attainment invention of mankind, thanks Hacki.

  • amazing machine

  • Beautiful aircraft fitted with the best engines in the world. The British Rolls Royce.

Incidentally, landing at a place where thousands of allied P.O.W's suffered horrendously in WW2

  • @RTFishall

yeah so how come one nearly blew up two days ago, and one failed yesterday as well

  • 14 people missed the like button. I should try Singapore Airlines, i didn't know they are so courteous and informative, 'Welcome to Singapore ladies and gentlements, for Singaporeans and Singapore resident, welcome back home. Outr local time is 10 minutes past 7 in the morning and (can't hear date) and the temperature is 25 degree Celsius and (something) farenheit....and on and on." wow.

  • @Cptjonmiller That kind of cabin professionalism vanished from the United States airline industry about two decades ago, when air travel became cheaper and more and more commoditized. With it came overworked and surly flight attendants going toe to toe with rude and unkempt passengers who treat flying as an entitlement, now that they’ve paid so very little for it. Flying on SIA is still largely a gracious and comfortable travel experience, even in coach. In the US, it’s a grim endurance test.

  • Boeing is Best!!! Beoing=beautiful aircraft High safety track record, tail and plane do not fall off.

Airbus is BAD!!!! Airbus=Ugly aircraft premature safety track record, tail and plane do falling apart!

  • @EasternMerchant Get your numbers right ;) Boeing isn't any better :-)

  • @EasternMerchant ohh and you forgot boeing also builds way more then airbus( I don't mean planes I mean stuff like satilites, missles, bombs, military vehicles, rockets, space shuttle.) soooo yeah.

  • @yoyoyoyoshua First of all, EADS, of which Airbus is a subsidiary, also builds things like satellites, missels, bombs, military stuff and so on :)

Second, Boeing has absolutely nothing to do with the Space Shuttle. Just because Rockwell, the company that built the shuttles, is now a part of Boeing does not mean Boeing made the shuttles.

  • @naisi you may want to check your info on that, Boeing has been involved with the Shuttles since they were first made. Thats proven fact my friend.

  • Metallic albatross!!

  • It relives memories of my trip to Singapore 1n 1995

  • Wow!!! It's soo pretty!!

  • Epic view, holy crap

  • Always loved and will always love the 747-400. Too bad SIA is phasing them out slowly :(

  • @highwind7th I'd say Boeing over Airbus but I love their new A330s over the 777s

  • nice video thanks

  • perfect landing !

    Wonderfull vidieo !

  • I have never heard of any product in this world which has never been known to fail or break down or wear out. We still have not achieved perfection in any machine.

  • WOW

  • Man! That was a whole lot of condensation above the wing there. Almost looked like the wing was on fire.

  • Ultra-high humidity ... you can see they must have had pretty good rainfall just previous from the spray kicked up when the engines go to reverse thrust ...

  • i'm guesting you took a flight from hong kong or tokyo?

  • I think this is the complement to his vid of the SI 744 taking off from Zurich.

  • HACKI22 u are US MARSHALL?, you fly some times a month lol

  • your lucky to get on an SIA's 747. i think i've only ever been on it once, out of the 5-6 times or so I've travelled with them. i always keep getting the 777's ! Damn, lol.

but to watch a plane land ... is watching one of mankind's greatest feats.

  • You would be the first person to complain about getting on a 777, which has far better seats than the 747s that are leaving the fleet till march for a good reason (uneconomical, hence not comfortable anymore).

  • meh, the feeling on a 747 just feels better... also, the seating arrangement of 2-5-2 (or 3-5-3, i think?) means my whole family can get the middle seats ... haha..

  • middle seats suck!

  • i saw the wing is shaking.. the engines must be very heavy!! huh..

  • @theairlineslover92 I think the flexibility was engineered into it's design to allow for smooth flight in turbulent conditions....

  • or did you see the shapwe of the wing?

  • Watch and comment my Aircraft videos!

    And don't forget to subscribe! (;

  • -5/5 STARS

  • What a beautiful machine

  • @jwhyte67 Absolutely, a machine for all ages, GO BOEING!!!

  • what is wing flex?

  • @LadyAshe12 did you see the wing move like a bouncing ball?

  • Nice vid! Where did you takeoff?

  • i love every aspect of the

747-100/200/300/400/SP. Every single sound engine of the 747 i like

  • @Ilivemindfreak

how about the sounds it makes when it crashes do you like them too

  • business class?

  • Love the turbine's sound

  • too soft!

  • Wow ... awesome video there, especially upon landing with the thrust reversers deploying and throwing up a huge spray! A very wet day at Changi, eh?

  • wow man.. look at the wing flex... great video..

  • BRAVO! WOnderful video!!!!

  • You have firm hands and great Camera !!!!

  • i agre, if i may ask, whihc camera was being used. quality was spot on

  • The sound is awesome too !!!

  • Indeed. sorry forgot to include that

  • quality didnt suck, yeah wasnt as good as this one. BUT still pretty decent. you captured the noises of an aircraft in the lading/taxi process pretty good

  • Thanks :D

I captured every single part of the flight , including meals, cabin, ascend, descent, snacks, entertaiment . haha

  • Nice video!! which camera did you use to film it?

  • Hello!Nice landning to Singapore Airport!

    Nice landning near water!=)

I give you 5 star for this film!=)

    Greeting TheCARRE74=)

  • The wet conditions really make you appreciate the air brakes! At 3:36, after the thrust reversers had been deployed, you see the air and moisture being propelled forward. Amazing! I previously thought the brake produced by the engines is much more passive than that.

  • It looks like it is very hot and humid their, I know now that I will not go there! anyone ever heard of turboprops? if so let me know! just adding to the confusion!!!!!!!!

  • lol it makes no difference from your american summer temperature.

  • in the south especially

  • fuck, this movie makes me very happy and mood! Especially when it hit the ground.

    100000000000 Stars!

  • my balls are melting. you know-the scrotum sack! That seat. just be cool dude. medical cannabis will help.

  • what seat is this?

  • Beautiful video. Nice landing no matter it was raining :)

  • it is indeed sad that these beauties are leaving SIA's fleet. Almost all of the B747 routes are now replaced by the 777W and soon A380.

  • The propeller looks cool :D

  • No propeller on a jet engine silly. U mean the turbofans or the little swirls on the engine caps??

  • fuk emirate. Go sing and qantas

  • Just awsome video. Macnificient view. From ther best airline in the world. I think video must be taken from the bussiness class seats.

    Smooth landing i must say...

  • damn, those flaps must really be under alot of strain!

  • thay are calls slats!

  • Nice video, good sound

  • i'd try this weather.

  • can anyone tell me what are the "mist" forming on the wings @ 2:13

  • condensation...

  • that is the air condensation. the speed of the plane make if form.

  • wow !!! very nice !!!!

  • nice

  • Nice!

  • i think you might be confusing the spoilers with the flaps. The flaps are what are used to gain lift during low speed conditions and are also used during takeoff as well as landing (to increase drag). The spoilers however just cause air to flow over the wing which forces the plane to stay on the ground during landing.

  • Not exactly. Spoilers actually "spoil" the airflow over the wing which then decreases lift, which would help keep the aircraft from going airborne again.

  • Singapore Airlines best airliner in the world.

  • no...emirates, sorry to say!

  • @sfmakten dude thai is the best now fuck off

  • great vid!

  • After moving to this part of the world and presently residing in Singapore, I have really taken to going places by SIA whenever possible. It is a great airline.

  • great!

  • At 2:50 due to the negative G the camera had lost the sound a bit.Love this video man.

  • no its the engines are slowing down when you are almost to the runway

  • they push it to idle and reverse thrust just above the threshold. But they keep almost 45%thrust but increases drag using flaps and landing gear.

  • nc vid and nc seat ~

  • Don't they tell you to turn off ALL electronic equipment befoire landing?

  • All electronic equipment must be turned off on Boeing 777 i think because of it's fly-by-wire technology.

  • Actually they say to turn off all electronics on every plane but its ok to use cameras since they don't emit a signal.

  • chakdeychar,

I don't think you really understand what fly-by-wire really means right?

  • Actually you're both wrong. It has nothing to do with electronic devices "emitting" anything.

You're supposed to stow them during critical phases of flight (takeoff and landing) so they don't become projectiles in the event of a crash or hard emergency landing.

Great video, by the way. =)

  • That is a logical explanation. But the thing is, the airlines requires the electronic devices to be switched off. Not kept away.

Some people don't exactly keep their devices even though its switched off.

  • What's that have to do with having to shut them OFF?

  • I love this video !! 5/5

  • je vote 5 etoiles pour la qualité de l'image

    bravo ..its so great

  • Of my 34 years of flying, no airline comes close let alone match the genuine and attentive service both on the ground and in the air. Singapore Airlines is an amazing airline. They are the best in the industry

  • May seem like a silly Question... WHat's that "cloud" on the wing? Is it some sort of condensation? Coz of the moist weather?

  • Yup. The air in that case has a lot of moisture already. As the air flows over the curved shape of the wing, the pressure drops enough that and lifts it into the air. That pressure drop also cools the air a lot. When the air cools below the dewpoint temp, it condenses into a cloud over the wing!

  • Can one ever go wrong choosing Singapore Airlines? Even a non-fan hoping to find fault will admit the task is a difficult one. The consistency with which service is dispensed, the quality of the offerings, and the seemingly perfect down to her symmetrical smile Singapore girl are some of the reasons why so many travelers choose to fly nothing else but Singapore Airlines

  • one of the greatest video i ever seen :)

  • Great landing !add in my fav too!

  • Ok..this is probably one the Australian Sectors SQ's rite....well..good descend....flying tru Batam and the Indonesian riau islands...and finally descending towards Changi or East Coast area of Singapore(can't be certain of this!).....smooth landing.....Singapore Airlines...gotta love it!!

  • its the same =). Singapore is too small to clearly define east cost and changi.

  • long live the 747!! :)and yes of course SQ!! :)

  • nice landing

  • Is singapore airlines good?

  • ive heard its a great airline

  • its the best airline patrick..

  • They have the best airliner of 2008 Award.

  • yeah its like best!

  • very niceee

  • awesome, i wanna be a pilot when im older!

  • me too. i want to fly the 777s. my fav aircraft

  • me too

  • If you love 777 seach lzd772 on youtube. You will thank me.

  • clear and precise landing

  • gotta luv the rain effects wen the engines reverse thrust great vid

  • very good jobs from the pilots! dont know but feels like the weather was a bit bad:P

  • Look at around 3:19 its amazing coz u can see the engiens wobble and shake =D

  • Your ears always pop when you descend, the only bad bit about the flight.

  • Yeah. i wonder why. It doesn't pop when its taking off, but it pops only when its descending.

  • Because on ascend, air can escape your ear via the eustachian tube to equalise the pressure, but on descend air is more difficult to enter the eustachian tube, and is forced into by swallowing, yawning, moving jaws or valsalva maneuver. So it 'pops'.

  • whr u flew from?

  • AiRplAnes are the best inVenTionS...

    imAgine ItS WeIgHT...

Maybe GOD said:"I only InveNted BiRdS but WhY PeoPlE inVenteD ThiS huGe MaChinE$.....

    hehe...

  • IS that in Raffles class or the first section of economy

  • Raffles class

  • Great Video. Singapore and Qantas are my favourite airlines. Good work with this video.

  • Well same fav airlines we have, but i will add one more for myself ,British Airway =D

  • actually, water does seep in, the engine bleed air takes some of the air and pumps it into the cabin, to keep it pressurized

  • very nice video, looked like it took forever for the plane to actually get on the ground at the very end of the approach

  • Great shot!

  • Singapore Airlines is a great airline. Singapore itself is a great country as well. They take crime and prosecution very seriously. In 2002 Van Nguyen was caught with heroin and sentenced to death in March. He was executed in December! So take it seriously when you hear "There will be severe penalty for the carriage of drugs and weapons into Singapore". Singapore can be a beautiful country and it can be a Great place to send criminals too ;)

  • You are correct. :)
