The thing that bothers me about Google is that they like to add search terms without your permission, and then automatically run searches based on the terms that THEY came up with instead of MINE.

please think about how bloody expensive it is to keep youtube running.... each day terabytes and terabytes of video are uploaded of which about 80% are "waste" of valueable space but are still being kept for years. So naturally the storage required grows by the minute up to a point where commercials have become absolutely neccessary.
