  • oh man, was ladet ihr hier nur für ne scheisse hoch????

  • good stuff!! nice job.

  • This is very nice, can I get a copy of it please. Thanks! ;)

  • How many turntables did you use?

  • I had two, but I cheated and used a four track tape recorder meaning I could play one track and record something new :)

  • Ah... as I suspected, but that's not necessarily cheating. It's okay to use that method for that particular effect where you two records in the mix gives way to two other records in the mix. I used to use three tables, or add cassette with pitch or CD... whatever I had at the time for those types of mixes, but had I owned a four track at the time I would have experimented with that too just for the practice.

  • We are similar age with similar exposure to music. I used to do the pause mixing starting in 1982, before finally getting on turntables in 1984. I played hip hop, which at that time meant cutting breaks off classics/rare grooves with electro, techno and rap. At that time I was very much into multiple inputs. I didn't know the term "house" until a year later when I tended to tone things down to two tables. Stakker Humanoid was HOT HOT HOT when that came out!

  • @nigel1408 i'm still on here try agaian

  • a friend of mine downloaded this track a few yrs ago on sharebear or cabos p2p pier . great mix. anyway to get new mixes from you with electr influnced beats elctro is bringing back one of the firt form of hip hop.... i .e planet rock, battle cry and human leaqe

  • @poundsounds2009 Some friends of mine just sent me a link a month ago or so to a mix I did in 1984... that someone ended up pressing on vinyl and taking the credit as "The first of its kind on the West Coast". It was done with a combination of mixing live and tape splicing - and was so tedious that I only ventured to make a couple more beyond that.

  • @poundsounds2009 Other than that, I do have tons of mixes with those elements, but only a few purely Electro or purely 80's beats. Some are on line and can be downloaded for free. I'll send you some links to start.

  • @poundsounds2009 I don't know if I hit the right one... It sounded kind of like a new mainstream club track. I guess I was expecting Electro.

  • sure this was dope in 1988... but thats over :P

just kidding, nice mix.. but the quality... :(

  • Very Good Mix Good Tunes. Shame about the quality. Top, Top Mix Really Like It.
