these 2 are one of the most underrated groups in hip hop history. I know this. I lived through this time and I play their music today. I am blown away by their articulation, enunciation of vocabulary that still ring in my ears with such arsenal
sickkkk. i love how all my favorite rappers rep eachother. Godfather don gave a soundout to O.C and The Natural elements crew.
anyone who wants to hear amazing flow, look up the natural elements crew (A-butta, L-swift, and Mr Voodoo aka. Agu) also godfather don, lord finesse and Big L are true slept on talent.
yo i just got out the joint bout a yr ago n i still recite this shit...i jump from body to body like quantem leap...shit is still siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicccccckkkkkkkkkkkk. tru hip hop fiend.
from the land, of the lost, from the land of the lost, from the land, of the looooooooooostttttttttt. the song is so fkn sick i cant explain. the way they move their hands and shit in this video is raw. god damn eveything about this is fkn RAW.
In this world of so many shining incarnations of hip-hop, Cella Dwellaz is _the_ thing for me.. "You can not understand I'm not from this land I'm from the lost"
Hey, youtube. I hope yall can answer this. What is the name of that cellar dwellaz song when the darkskin dude said something about the drug LSD? The verse goes something like this, I may not be correct, but I think it goes ""or lsd you do what you wanna, back in the day I use to sweat that chick thelnona"".
@mddarch 4 real? you shouldve walked up 2 him and said "clouds form when i raise my staff in the air, lighting strikes my structure and i disappear i step through portals, im immortal call me dracula im spectacular like a spell caster" hahahahahaha. he would flip out.
I have their tape. yeah I am from those times and the lyricism of these two way surpasses anyone today. I listen to to their tape in my car and my mouth drops at their skill. I think they came out with a concept that was ahead of their time. being from another world and dimensions was a lil too different for people to swallow at the time but their imaginative writing to fit that concept was crazy hot creative. I love them
@liquidhot9 i agree with u i bought the album when i was 13. A few songs i loved but the ohers i couldnt grasp it at the time but looking back this shit was ahead of its time and dope as fuck but in the 90's of rap just about every album that came out was some fire!!!
@liquidhot9 Yeah, I still have this album on cassette. They really were creative. Today the masses can only relate to nursery rhymes or ice cream truck jingles. The Cella Dwellas were doing what most rappers back then did and todays rappers are too untalented to do. "Be different".
I got a question! I was about 14 or somthing and I saw this rap video...back then i wasn´t into rap that much and i didn´t knew what i watch. Now, i´m searchin for this video. I think there were 2 rappers. One of them had a yellow jacket. I can remember a prison break then they rapped in front of the flatiron building in ny.
my idea were cnn, heltah skeltah, cella dwellas,...but i didn´t found anything..can u help me??
You have to see it on the dailymotion website. A lot of Mase, DmX, and NY artists videos are only on that website for some reason. Probably copyright or something.
Funny thing is,,I put this instrumental on & UG forgot the rest of his verse!!!,, So like any true artist, he started freestyling the rest!! he's a beast..
Someday I might release the live show they did @ my record store back in 2001, I have a whole cd of them performing while I spun wax in the background.. Classic group...still have Ug's #,,maybe I should hit a brotha up!!! The 2nd lp was dope to!!
yeaaaah this is why i love hip hop damn!! real classic i was watchin' rakin' in the dough before this chek that out anotha good track!!!...peace for every rappa all ovah da wolrd!!...
1. Your reading my comment 2. Now your saying/thinking thats a stupid fact. 4. You didnt notice that i skipped 3. 5. Your checking it now. 6. Your smiling. 7. Your still reading my comment. 8. You know all you have read is true. 10. You didnt notice that i skipped 9. 11. Your checking it now. 12. You didnt notice there are only 10 facts Copy and paste to 1 video, tomorrow will be your best day ever! no matter what
Amontillado, sorry. but if you read the story it definately gives off that vibe... i think these guys were inspired by alot of dark novels/stories. there shit is different then anyone elses
Have these gone forever, Cant find much about them anymore. probably one of my fave groups ever. If anyone knows where I can get their albums please let me know.
Loved this back in the dayz on Video Music Box when undaground Hip Hop was on the air. The only downside of this vid is that they cut a lot of the actual song. Wish they included everything they said. What's another 60 seconds. Either way. Shit was fresh.
CLASSIC UNDERGROUND!!..I would kill to return back to this era...this is when hip-hop was truly creative and diverse. These young kids nowadays listen to pure garbage. The only thing they imagine now is.. how big there car rim's could get, or how much crack they could sell. It's really a shame. props and respect to Ug & Phantasm.
True indeed. Yesterday I found my cassette of "Realms & Reality" while helping my son fix his bike. I popped it in the stereo and I didn`t have to worry about the content being to explicit for my son`s ears. I was quite pleased that I felt comfortable playing it around my son. Funny thing was it was way more hardcore than the garbage out today without glorifying drugdealing, pimping, and materialism."Cella Dwellas" are very imaginative and original. One album and their legacy is sewn up!
Oh shit niceeeee
