  • I want to hear George Lucas say that Darkseid was the inspiration for Vader. That would just be awesome.

  • one of the dumbest shows ever!

  • Using Adam West as the voice of Batman brought back all the campiness of Batman. Hanna Barbera almost nailed the coffin shut on Batman with him being joyful and weak. And don't get me started on Robin.

  • lol DC say Darkseid was the influence for Dark Vader. Marvel says Dr Doom was. the orionic twist, Vader is allies with Dark Horse

  • am I the only one who prefers Adam Soulé's Batman voice?

It rocks in the Filmation 68 series, and it rocks in the superfriends stories where he's Batman... He's my favourite Batman.

  • @hcvang I''ll always b a Conway man myself

  • No matter how you try and defend this animated show, it was sadly called "Super Friends" which is campy as hell. You might as well of named the series "Fantastically Buff Buddies".

  • @pypeworld Good point. Now the next series, Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians, took a more serious tone. Batman did remain a friendly type character somewhat, yet at the same time, you saw some of the Dark Knight version in the character. That and other things are what made that my favorite version of the franchise.

  • hhuuuuuuhhhh!!!

  • Not really a fan of Darkseid, but I loved the way he was drawn in "Galactic Guardians." He looked more menacing.

  • 3 cheers for Firestorm!!!

  • to bad they didn't include him in the "Justice League"cartoon. He's so much cooler than John Stewart.

  • I though it was really cool that Adam West did the voice of BatMan in this series. To bad Burt Ward did'nt get to voice Robin.

  • I had the Darkseid action figure when I was a kid. I wonder where it is now.

  • I love darkseid, his voice is bad ass.

  • he was the first truly menacing villain of the superfriends.

  • Isn't the same guy who did Dr. Claw on Inspector Gadget?

  • Yes. Look up Frank Welker.

  • If you hear his voice for Soundwave in Transformers without the synth effects he sounds exactly like Darkseid. You can hear it in two transformers episodes (Roll for It and Webworld) and the Revenge of the Fallen Movie.

  • @TheKaijuSciFiGuy

As well as Generation 1 Megatron, Soundwave, Wheelie, and Galvatron, amongst others.

  • Yes it was. He was played by Frank Welker, who not only voiced DR. Claw, but Brain as well. (He also played Megatron in "The Transformers" cartoon, as well as a huge laundry list of other parts.)

  • He was also the voice of Kalibak as well.

  • Olan Soule was the better voice for Batman.

  • Yes, man. He was Batman (Well, the classic era, Batman). But Adam West did a great job too.

  • @NepperCat I actually preferred Adam West as Batman. It's not just that he actually played him in real life that lent weight. West's voice was much more intense and mysterious sounding than Soule. Olan Soule's Batman sounded more like a history professor instead of a dark avenger.

  • @TMC1982Part2 Soule ended up doing the voice of Prof. Stein/Firestorm this season. I didnt care for Adam West's voice for Bats because it was obvious he was still doing the silly live action version and Soule didnt sound as goofy.

  • Alas theyre now killing off the New Gods...

Im not sure whats happening to DC.

  • DS with Doc Claw voice ^_^

  • Frank Welker

  • cool! Gerry Conway also creator of Jason Todd and the Punisher

  • thanks
