You notice how Senator Hagel conflates cutting off war funding with "defeatism." No. "Defeatism" would be, say, ceding U.S. territory to Iraqis. Ending the war is NOT "defeatism." I have yet to hear any peace activists calling for ceding U.S. territory to Iraqis.
