i've followed all the instructions including the deleting of the "READ ONLY" files....but wen i load up my skin is still not the cheif from halo....

this is the 6th gta tutorial ive seen that screw up on the most important thing : /

the FIRST thing anyone should do is remove the READ ONLY atributes from the WHOLE gta folders & files (not just the IMG)

belive it or not the IMG tool doesn't just access gta3.img, it also accesses another file

when ye hit rebuilt, if that files still read only, ye game dies

right click on rockstar games folder, hit properties, untick read only & say yes to sub folders

it worked for me but i did it a bit differently. (When he says ''click on commands and then add'' i have to click on replace and then before you exit the img tool you have to click on commands again and then rebuild archive!!!

no right clikc on rockstar foler and propertise and untick read only then do it for subfolders ¬_`

you just remove the read only from

Models (folder)

gta3.dir (file)

gta3.img (file)

also CROA (is faster than windows when it comes to removing the read only from the whole game dir's) :D

also when you use properties way, the virus scanner (on some pc's) makes it take for ever while it looks at every file huristicly
