Love the Manoir! I had my stag there and when my brother made the reservation, they asked if it was for a stag... when he said "Yes", they needed a $1000 deposit on a credit card! At the end of the evening there, they returned it. We had a great time and they ensured that we had designated drivers.
Went for a couple of draught last friday. There's about a million TVs now. Flat screens everywhere!
Nothing else has changed. Bob Harmidy is the employee with the most seniority now. Andre the waiter (17 yrs service) says Bob has been there for 34 years!!
Apparently, the Manoir has been sold to a guy who already owns Picasso's, other bars, and a strip club. The Manoir is now a "Resto-Bar", which in Quebecese means that they serve booze and are open on Sundays. I plan on going there for supper tomorrow night. Will report back.
Great to see the Manoir. For me, it's about the honesty. Honest ingredients, fair (beyond fair!) prices, fast service, enough distractions that a bathtub could look interested/interesting and man.... the cold beer. Great architecture too. Thanks for the trip. Lose

Now you can't buy any Molson products at The Man. Labatt only (at least they distribute Kieth's draught).
There's a Bejillion TVs now. I didn't get to try the food except for some reasonable chicken wings....

Beautiful Rob. I basically lived there for 3 years and have only been back once since '76. That was in '05 with my kids.
Still as noisy as ever...and still only 3 things to do: drink beer, eat food (steak for $8.95?), go to the washroom and break glasses. OK 4 things.
In '73 I think it was 5 draught for a buck plus tip.
Notice that the clientele in '73 was mostly young and now they are mostly our age? Go figure.
