And even if a public school does better than the charter school across the street the charter school may do better than the public school across town, and those kids across town can gain the benefits of a better school.
I'm saying we shouldn't rule them out because it's unfair for children in a dysfunctional family. That's poor reasoning.
1. Diane says that charters out perform 29% of the time in math therefore public out perform 71% of the time... she fails to mention "or perform the same." Big difference.
2. She complains that kids in dysfunctional families are at a disadvantage bc parents aren't applying....
So therefore, kids with parents who do care should suffer and not get the benefits of the charter school?
