I have 7 days left as of today for those of you that are looking for an update. I may or may not get a last video in before I leave. As it happens, the day that I leave for Boot Camp, my family is moving to Nevada a day later. We've packed almost everything up and things such as Cable, Internet, etc. have all been taken out so that they can complete the move. Now for other poolees, my final IST score is:
I plan to put in more than just 4 years. Say what you will about the Corps and give your opinion but it all comes down to your attitude. The way I see it? Your right. I'm not a Marine yet nor do I really know fully what to expect. But one thing I do know;
I would rather get treated like a 5 year old in the Marine Corps and love the job that i do, rather than being treated like a 5 year old with some low life civilian boss that has no method to his madness and no motivation for anything.
@ilov3fudg3 like you know what boot camp and the Marine Corps is like...thats right u dont. Just be ready to be micromanged like a 5 year old for the next four years of your life. Its nothing like the commercials on TV..just a warning
@hmwheeler1 Would you know how boot camp is? Either way boot camp is different for each person because everyone is different, DI's push you to such extremes in boot camp because they try to put you under the amount of stress a person would be in actual combat. They want you to be able to function even under that stress; when an entire platoon gets punished for one persons mistake, it's to evoke teamwork and to help each other get better. Everyone has their own opinion on Marine boot camp
Absolutely. I'll get one up soon. I'll detail about where I went, when I went, what to expect, etc. Congratulations on making the decision to Enlist :)
hey Poolee Bagwell. i am planning on joining the Marine Corps once i graduate high school. it would be great if you could do a video about meps. would really help thnx.
yo man fellow poolee here.. for running try switching up the mileage everyday or every other day. and do timed runs. go for 3 miles in 20 mins and push yourself and try to make under that time. hope this helps. My IST is 8:43 run, 97 crunches, 14 pullups.
