Today's Irish Independent reports that Melanie McCabe has made the live shows. They also include a quote from Louis from his holiday home in Miami which appears to confirm that we'll be seeing more than one Irish contestant on the shows : he talks about Irish "finalists" plural.

Its sad Mel never got a showcase like Janet did. I Love them both and when i heard the leak of Mel doing one night only i was excited to see her.. and they show her doing only girl in the world on telly which personaly didnt show her off as the best like one night only did. if she dusnt make it far on Xfactor she will be a star and she will be huge i will deffo be surporting her music! xxxx

Is this girl too good for X Factor? Would really love to know who decided not to show this audition. As judges have experienced this live they must bring her all the way. If not, I reckon we know why this was edited out...to much of a threat to the less talented.

X factor is a fix. why would they ask her to sing another song when she hit every single note of One night only. They knew what they wer doin when they asked her to sing another song. Bit of a disgrace. She deserves more then 10 seconds of a song and should of showed her real audition. She has an amazing voice and they didnt show people what shes really like. Hope she gets through to the live shows. She deserves it :)

i think ITV need to give their heads a shake...9 seconds of singing from this amazing artist and then they give 15 minutes to joke acts! ive backed her to win Xfactor at 33-1 she now 8-1 and thats with such short airtime..goes to show the real judges are the public.. come on melanie your a superstar and i pray to god you make the live shows as we have another leaona lewis on our hands,,, you have soul and an amazing voice..

WOW, Dis girl has an absolutely amazing voice, should have shown her full audition on tv for sure.Thanks for posting this audio 'cos didn't realise the judges asked her 2 sing another song. It was amazing 2 hear her sing both songs, each 1 sang so effortlessly. Her vocal range is outstanding.Hope she does well 'cos truly deserves it :)
