When I first got involved in watching the NHL ..I picked a team out of a hat to root for. NY Rangers seemed to catch my eye cause of Mike Gartner playing for them at the time. I really hated that they traded him before they won their cup that year. It wasn't right...but I'm glad to hear they made him a ring. He truely is a classy guy and he is an unselfish team player. Thanks for playing for the NY Rangers, Mike. :)
He is without a doubt the classiest man to ever lace on a pair of skates. As a Rangers fan one of the only sad things about winning the cup in 94 is that he got traded at the deadline and was not part of that group. All you need to know about him is that they had a ring made for him anyway. That's how much everyone loved and respected him.
