it could be your springs my iron cobras where doing it 2 till i replaced the springs n make sure you have the shaft ends far enough on your bass pedal

@Villex93 hey i litarally just got a DW 4000 too but this is the first time ive got a new pedal so i dont know where the u-joints are can you tell me what they are and what to use to lubricate them?
i got one 3 days ago an i previously had a 5000 an my 5000 chain broke in like 9 months soo i bought a 3000 an its just as good if not better cuase it has a dual chaine drive its awesome
My 7002 had the same problem...:)) it was the strings .. change 'em to lil shorter ones and u should be oke...:))

yeah just lube the ends of the connecting shaft and everywhere else while ur at it. Try speed cream, its good lube, i got some on ebay

I had the same thing on my DW 4000 and I lubricated the u-joints and the sound was gone.

my pdp pedals do that but what i do is grease it with oil but only in the parts that squeak
