  • O audio é uma merda e para piorar tem um retardado gritando . Este tipo de video tira além do prazer de assistir o talento inegável do artista .

  • Look at those thick thighs and nice bulge. Gosh I'm getting turned on : )

  • Stu Hamm is such a yummy chubby daddy, I'd love to suck him off :D

  • such a cool bass

  • Very Good

    Very Good

    MONSTER

  • Stu has been kickin A_ _ and takin names since around 86. Met him in 87 and changed everything about my bass playing. Unfortunately this video does not do him justice, and ends as he kicks into 'Country Music'. STUUUUUUUUU!

  • His senstivity and control of the instrument when he taps are most impressive to me. It's an unusual technique and presents a whole facet to the instrument most are unfamiliar with. Perhaps not quite groundbreaking but I truly appreciate him presenting the bass as much more than a background voice in the band.

  • can anyone tell me what he's playing? i would love to hear a higher quality recording.

  • @StopTheMoti0n there are a few different ones in there. but 0:40 till around about 2:00 is definately terminal beach

  • ur video sucks\

  • does anybody have stu doing one robots dream ? dave larue kicked ass on that one.. anyone who hasn't seen doug wimbish check him out great bass player

  • I love the fact that he uses chords. I play chords all the time now. They sound better on the bass than they do on the guitar.

  • @SuperGeo1987 Me too, they sound way better, bass' got a warmer, smoother sound

  • You can't blame the sound on the artist. This was filmed by a fan, and on what version iPhone???

  • Terminal Bleach!!!! =D

  • what' s the name of the first song, before terminal beach (that starts at 0:40)?

  • I wonder where he learned ot play like that

  • Stu's always been my favourite bass player, he just sounds like a total original ever since Radio Free Albemuth.

  • he should have find another "tone" for this solo. I know he is great bass Player but this is EarFucker..

  • omg...what a shit again...give stu a bass...and you start to hate bass

  • @AnalHardfuckjaeger Weak! Bass is the best instrument.

  • Boogie with Stu!!!

  • and yes my spelling sux before you pick up on that too diamonddust and friends.

  • Well Diamonddust22 You obviosly seem to be a rather well adjusted sorta guy. Thanks for the reply.

To every1 else, maybe they do shout Stu, but there are definate boo's as im sure Stu's reaction shows, its the same in the San francisco video. In the end though, this is my opinion, if you dont like it then well done to you, but to call some one a cunt for saying it... well...

  • @AntJSB Its Boo Stu! it was like the chant for when he was playing with Joe - which is probably what the sour looks are for

  • @midnightfury661 grow up you cunt

  • Stu's put on some pounds. All I could focus on was the bass rotating back and forth around his belly.

  • @werchhahn maybe if you tried to learn something instead of being an immature asshole, you wouldn't suck so bad on your instrument. Idiot.

  • and why the hell Stu hasnt realized people shout stuu and not boo???

maybe he saw disaprovement on people faces...

in all concerts it looks like he is trying to please people

  • he knows. "they stu him coz they love him"

  • Why do people always seem to boo him?? I dont get it? Whether you like bass players or not its still damn good skill to do what he's doing!

  • they shout: STUUUUUUUUU

    Not buuu :P

  • they are yelling Stu... his first name

  • Doesn't anybody listen? On this and the san francisco video its quite clearly a 'BOO' watch his face... he isnt happy., that because people are booing him. Try it with the volume up

  • soooo... everybody is clapping their hand's and being excited, because of what? they like the thing he doe's and they most certainly do NOT yell ''Boo'' :P

it is clearly 'STUUUU'.... maybe you should get your ears checked =)

  • @AntJSB ..You are right to a degree, that some dumbass doesn't realise his name is Stu and thinks others are yelling boo. Just look at all of the confusing posts even.

  • @AntJSB I can't even begin to tell you how many shows I've been to and had to explain exactly this to people around me - they are yelling "Stuuuuuuuuu" not "boooo". Listen to Joe's "Live in SF" and he even says "They Stu him cuz they love him!" after the bass solo.

  • @AntJSB why don't you try fucking off and dying like the cunt you are.

  • You need to quit being a Metallica homr, and open your ears: Cliff Burton couldn't touch Stu Hamm. Shows what you know.

  • I'm in this concert!!! Stu is , for me, the god of the bass!! wooten, flea, miller, Harris and clayspool are so! but i think nobody can egal him!!

  • vic wooten, stu hamm, marcus miller and tony levin are all in a class of their own.

  • I would love to see Stuart Hamm and Tony Levin side by side and play solos!

  • All bass players know that Stu is a one-off, kinda like John Entwistle. 99% of all bass players stay in the pocket, Stu does as well, when he needs to do so. He just has the ability to solo his butt off!!!

  • it's called experimental music, some people like it some don't.

I personal do like this a lot. it's something I might do when I'm really stoned on the stage as well

  • Why would anyone try to compare two amazing bassists. They are both amazing in their own right and style. PERIOD. Stu brings solo bass to a level and audience that never would have appreciated it in another genre. They are BOTH as good as it gets!

  • bass deffinatley wasnt invented for this reason, its not good at all, and before anyone ripps into me, im a bass player.

  • if you're a fellow bass player than you of all people should know that an instrument is played how ever the player pleases, if you wanna try to play a trumpet like a banjo, thats how you would play a trumpet. and no one could tell you that your not playing the trumpet the way it was "invented to."

  • @T3hbassmasta dont waste your time on the commies

  • @T3hbassmasta

    Great comment.

  • @T3hbassmasta Yes, music is the standard.

  • @T3hbassmasta

check out Sergei Nakariakov, the most amazing trumpet player, plays pieces written for other instruments. eg, flight of the bumblebee

  • @T3hbassmasta I am so happy that you said this. I personally am tired of the traditional "backseat" role that the bass usually has... It is such a beautiful instrument, and it should be played as such!

  • @T3hbassmasta Amen to that

    brother!!!!!!

  • @T3hbassmasta Exactly!!! - Thank you!!!

  • haha well you're a suckass bassist then

  • sunglasses at night. nice.

  • TERMINAL BEACH RULEZZ!!!

  • Sure Billy Sheehan is great, but what about Stanley Clarke ? I think he's even better than Billy...

  • theres nothing really fun about Billy's solos... its just "play as fast as you can" which isn't the whole point of bass. There's a lot more emotion in the bass guitar

  • My point is that Stu Hamms solos are dreadful and if you want some riffage see Sheehan. I dig what you say about the speed but I have seen him do some lovely mellow stuff too

  • Yeah he doesn't really have that many great sounding solos. The San Francisco one is probably one of my favourites out of all the bass solos I've heard though. And yeah man I love Billy as well, he was one of the first to get me into bass, but I don't like the fact that he projects himself as a speed man most of the time... We need to leave that crap to them damn guitarists =P

  • opps..........I'm a guitar player, but don't widdle, hopefully just lay it down as it should be. Check out my gig videos!

  • there was so many things in that comment that made me laugh

  • Finally! Someone on here gets it right! LOL.

  • dude...vic wooten probly the best player ever. so far at least

  • I'd say he's the best technically but I couldn't listen to him like I do jaco, bootsy, larry graham or rocco prestia among many others.

  • maybe its because im a bass player (i dont know if you are) but so many of vics songs give me the chills. he can make a bass do things that nobody ever dreamed of. haha mancrush

  • I think ( as a guitar player) that its cool that bass players can play really fast, but actually the old adage "less is more" works for me. Have you heard Alex James in Blur, he is a fantastic player, not flashy just plays what the song needs, check him out on Tracy Jacks

  • c'est dommage qu'il a pas de classe :D par contre quel putain de bon bassiste le jour ou je joue comme lui sérieux jserais un dieu (mais c pas prets d'arriver ) vive lyon !!!!

  • is this one of his songs ? or just an improv solo ???

  • I don't remember the name, but it's a song on his album Kings Of Sleep.

  • I think the song is called Terminal Beach.

  • this must be hard to play no doubt....nothing else to say i hated that solo.

  • Victor is hands down the most talented. But i too prefer Stu Hamms style and song writing better.Ithink that is what people were trying to say. They are both awesome.

  • too bad victor is a trend and sounds just like everyone else haha poor vic not gonna be remembered in a year

  • good one, vic is a trend i agree. his sound annoyes me like hell.

  • Vic is not the best. That acknowledgment is reserved for adam nitti.

  • he's amazing.

  • Il à grossi mais toujour le meme solo

  • he has been on every other bass magazine. I have heard of 2 hand taping but at the speed of light! i mean god damn I looked at his figers back stage in chicago after the consert and to my dis beleif they were intacked after the crazey ass solo . it is unbeleavable the things that guy can do with his hands!

  • I am sooo glad that Joe decided to welcome

back 'ol buddy Stu Hamm ! They are once again

a complete band... don't you just love them

    "boos" directed at Stewie ?

  • the "boos" are "Stu!!!"s.

  • STU STU STU

  • i was watching joe yesterday in hamburg. it was a very great concert but stu hamm played an other solo in hamburg... it was better :>

  • Joe's the best, even stu will admit

  • satch is the best guitar player, but not even vicor wooten can beat stu for me.

and man,he should stop playing coutry music he always plays it.

  • im sorry but id say, and a lot of people would say it too...em...vic kicks not only stu´s but any bassplayer´s ass

  • dear god,i just like stu better

  • well, then im with you...hehe
