Yeah, let's get the terminology straight. Sanders qualifies as an independent because he's never been a member of either party. Senators like Leiberman, Byrd, or Gramm qualify as "whores" because they've had their hands in BOTH parties. People like that are worse than politicians, they're HYPERpoliticians.
