  • Thanks Fett. Great video. I enjoyed your seminar on Mastering at the Taxi Rally.

  • This is great! Exactly what I've been looking for in microphone recommendations. Thank you. Can I make a suggestion for your next video? Do this same "value-priced" format but with pre-amps! That is the missing link in the recording chain for me and I don't know where to start.

  • Very informative. As a long time live performer, I prefer to use my Beta 58 in the studio. I am not comfortable with a mic that picks up my breathing from 3-4 feet away. There is also less ambient noise to deal with during mixing. Once again, just personal preference. Fett is right on! Expensive equipment doesn't always equate to a better sound. It's the ear that counts.

  • Awesome video. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the information. Another good microphone for recording is the Behringer B1. It is very sensitive and great for vocals.

  • Nice segment, well spoken and informative. The concept of "Sound" is what matters, not price, is invaluable to get across.
