does anyone realize what happens when you cap levels of something? you have shortages of that item. this time it will be things that produce alot of carbon. this is because it is no longer profitable to produce that item.
I remember way back when the Exxon Valdez oil spill decimated the coast of Alaska. The president of Exxon was asked how they'd pay for it: "By increasing the price of gas" was his answer.
If corporations can find a way to pass the cost on to consumers, they will. Bill is right, a "carbon tax" won't change a thing. Same amount of pollution with the added bonus of higher prices.
I just LOVE the way Hillary nods her head yes (as in agreeing with RICHARDSON) you know what I mean? It's not only in this vid, look around and pay attention you'll find her nodding yes to alot of the things he has to say. BILL RICHARDSON ALL THE WAY!!!
Democrats and Republicans lowered taxes today through rebates. Tax cuts work.
