i have one thing to say and i dont mean it in anyway to demean the kid or his playing, but there is a difference between playing something exactly as it was on the album/original version, and playing with your own style and your own improvisation. Learning where to put your fingers when, even if it does take a lot of skill, does not mean he is the greatest guitarist since jimi. he's young, and he still has alot of time to learn how to be his own musician.
