just a couple questions man im trying to homemake a gas mask and ive got everything down from the intake n out take to the design but i dont have an alternative filter im to broke to buy a real gas mask or active charcoal for chemical vapors suck as spray paint is there any homemade alternative

I wouldnt advise that you ever wear that mask again, lots of people fail, (even the kaisers orchesta) to realise that most second world war gas masks have filters which are poisonous cus they contain asbestos, if you dont believe me ask the guy that you bought it from. I hope this helps =D

I get a ton of that. I don't really walk around my house wearing them. I wear them for a video, and then possibly for a quick minute every month or 2 just to bring back old memories.

Not to sound like a kill joy, but make sure that canister doesn't contain asbestos in the filter element. Many WWII era masks used asbestos in the filter.

I might have a nice functional S10... but MAN you've got such a better gas mask! The rubberized fabric design looks awesome and the shape of it looks perfect.

Also I think that it was likely designed to be tight since with it's material it likely didn't seal to the face as well as modern ones.

Don't know if I'd call it the greatest mask of all time. But I'll grant you to have the same mask as the band is pretty cool, I'd be afraid of wearing it in the condition its in. Nice collector's piece but I'd be concern with cracking the brittle material wearing it.
