  • Great advice, was a former player and coach @SJSU soccer during our #1 in the nation reign in 2000. One of our fitness test was to run 2 miles under 12 minutes, intervals is the best way to do it..before I tried it my 2 mi was 11:56...when I started intervals I ran it at 11:30 and was not even tired..awesome advice!

  • well that could help maybe? but ill stick to my normal workouts of easy 7 miles every other day and a workout of a lap at 65 pace with a 30 second rest 10 times and one day off a week.

  • Is this women crazy? If shes talking about HIIT (High intensity interval training) Then doing it for 30 mins isnt easy, your supposed to Sprint>catch your breathe> etc etc, not sprint>run for 30 mins.

  • when I go to, the park I try to run more around the park like do 3 or 4 laps around the park. and on the treadmill I try to run 30 minutes or an hour.

    Then we can talk about running it on 21 km/s.. Don't go above 50min instead add a km/s

  • These videos are ridiculous! Seriously, who are these people? Talk to real runners. If you're running a slow two-mile (anything slower than 14 for women, 12 for men) your problem is most likely that you're not running enough. If you just run more, not faster, you'll drop your time because you'll be improving your aerobic fitness.

  • What me and my friends do are wind sprints. Run as fast as you can for about 100 yds or so, then let your heartrate come back down. Then go 50 yds, wait for HR to drop. Then do another 50 yds. And we do that about 3 times.

  • 5k you got to really work on cardio vascular. as you get shorter the strength portion comes in to play more. but dont sacrifice either one.
