  • All the more reason to love Japanese food

  • I'm going to do my best to change my diet.I ate out yesterday at a china buffet place, and when i got home, something in my side was sharp, stabbing.I knew it was my gall bladder. It was telling me he is tired of working over-time trying to process the crap i put in my body. This is my wake up call.I'm going Japanese!!

  • i envy them.. they are fit.. -.-

  • she looks horrible for 45 though....my mom is her age and has a horrible diet even smokes and drinks and looks way younger than her so it's probably genetics not diet that contribute to good aging.

  • @ebblondie You're a dumb ass shut the fuck up, it always has to be some young minded negative fuck to say some stupid shit about something so positive, shut up!

  • @ebblondie welllll that's life!

  • my friend came over here from finland and gained 25 lbs......she still hasn't lost all of it even after going home I feel so bad for her:(

  • Vegetables as a main course with meat as a side (or even a seasoning) resonates with me. I will have to change my diet.

  • *grabs wallet* Off to the Japanese supermarket!

  • I wish I liked miso soup and green tea I almost vomited trying those two the first time..|_|

  • @Saraculture...You are so awesome!!! That is a lot of dedication and with this diet you will have a clear focused mind and a healthy body, you're going to eat better than 75% of Americans.

  • i'm trying to start a Japanese diet. anyone got any ideas?

  • her chubby face is so cute! i prefer healthy naomi

  • me: mom we're going to the grocery store!

    mom: why?

me: i'm gonna live to be 85 and eat me some good ole Japanese food!

  • God,I love miso soup. There are few things better in the world than miso soup and rice on a rainy day.

  • You can eat healthy no matter where you are. It doesn't matter what country you're in. It's annoying to generalize all Americans (Westerners). If you come to the US from another country and gained weight what did YOU do differently? My point is: if you didn't eat junk where you used to live why would you move somewhere else and eat junk? Keep a healthy lifestyle no matter where you are. Living in America doesn't make you fat. Eating more calories than you body needs makes you fat. Simple. ^_^

  • Read her book "Japanese Women Don't Get Old or Fat". Amazing book. I follow the diet only in a vegan version.

  • Just looking at that food is inspiring to make me feel like cooking!! >.<

  • @Saraculture...Awesome!!! Do it...you will live a long and healthy life. Eat more fruits and Vegetables! Eat more fish.

The U.S. Government and the FDA don't give a damn about us, get out of here while you can.

  • sushi is just kind of seasoned food. but these foods are better than fake fish food(sea mustard, garlic, pepper) actually these are disgusting to fat people hhhhh

  • Thumbs up if you expected to see a documentary about the Japanese parliamentary building.

  • This should be the role model for how to eat. Question: How much soy do the Japanese actually consume and in what form (tofu, soy milk, natto, etc) do they usually eat it. I've heard it is only a minor part of their diet. Is this true?

  • @WillowWillowXOX lol you know whats funny ..my mother had a rice cooker for years and never noticed til later on..my family mostly on eats white rice.. we never eat brown rice

  • Yayyy a diet thats actually food =D

I think I would still exercise though, it would help a little more

  • my GRANDMAS 80 years old, still tickin'

  • YEAH!!! I LOVE JAPANESE FOOD!!!

    GOODBYE THUNDER-THIGHS!!!

  • All the Asians who come to study in Canada gain so much weight. And not just Asians, I also know some mexicans and Germans who gained at least 25 lb in the first months of living in Canada.

  • i live in miami and i cannot find japanese rice here.can someone tell names of japanese rice here ?

  • @yandykun im on the same boat, you'll have to go to a speciality shop. you can find a few around miami

  • I love sushi and rice and Japanese women.

  • I love Japanese food (:

    Actually, all asian food haha.

and tea is wonderful without sweetening. You should definitely teach your kids to enjoy tea without it because it's healthier and you're actually tasting tea, not all that sugar. Japan does having "unhealthy" food too, but in comparison to America, there are less preservatives and everything in moderation. People don't realize that portion size for unhealthy foods in America is actually pretty huge!

  • You can drink German Rock Sugar as a sub, goes into the system without turning into fat.

  • i have total respect for Japanese food. I come from a mediterranean country - Lebanon. I am now in Canada. I am still disgusted by their food. I never touched a burger or frozen meal. I eat everyday Lebanese food. And I haven't got fat at all through the years. Thanks God. The best human health comes right from the beautiful green Nature.

  • I think I'm turning Japanese...

*goes and eats broccoli and rice* x]

  • did you know that japanese eat a raw egg and rice for breakfast? could you even imagine? Yuck! give a thumbs up if oyu didnt know that!

  • I don't know how the Japanese do it. They live an incredibly busy lifestyle with long work hours for the adults and long school hours for the children. Yet, they were able to resist the temptation of overindulgence of fast foods and be the most healthy country.

  • @acatisfinetoowut because they dont fear food, like we do in north america. try reading naturally thin by bethenny frankel and, french women dont get fat and ull understand how other ppl see food, and how the biggest ppl r the ones who diet and fear food

  • South Korea also eat healthy diet

  • @mybominangel yes they do. i wondered why there were sooo many restaurants but ppl were slim, their food comes with 3 side dishes all veggies, including kim chi, which is spicy, which speeds up metabolism, and they eat in groups often meeting with friends, they make it an event, this way u can never over eat. i noticed this when i visited a year ago. a girl from there came to visit in canada, 2 months later shes out on 18lbs

  • Thanks for sharing this. This is what I do 85% of the time.

  • ommmggg japanese food is the most delicious stuff i have ever eaten. i reccomend it to everyone. and omg green tea is really good too

  • that's totaly true i have lost 10 kilogramme and eating normaly in Japan the food is also delicious like my home french meal, but think about it eating fish, miso soup, and rice with drinking Wolong Tea everyday with just a few extra sometimes like japaneses okonomiyaki or pizza, with a litle bit of exercise like walking and that's done !!!

  • Japan is the only country I know where most people eat a lot of Green veggies everyday, Green tea, and Fish daily...The japanese are hard wired to eat healthy, but Americans, no disrespect but they're hard wired for convenience and quick Junk foods...just like a one night stand hooker on a Saturday night. :)

  • @EricSchwin22 No offence taken..

    It's true. D=

  • @EricSchwin22,more like Americans are brainwashed by decades of fast food advertising. Now that we have fast food chains publishing nutritional information,we can better gauge what we eat and take it into account.

  • @namniekib

I'm American and have to agree

There's so much TV watching the people do with tons of adverting that you can say it's exactly how it looks....brainwashing

  • @EricSchwin22

    Hardwired for convenience

    That is so true! O_O

  • everything is great except the seafood, because im a vegetarian

  • You Agree I dont mean it ,You agree You cant make every body Happy. then Just Shut up and stop the argument. I also have a long list how you Jap Peoples treat Gaijins in your conty first go and correct your own Peoples!

  • Another thing to look at is how the French eat. How often do you see an overweight French woman? There's books on that too. France is very regimented in their eating habits, especially in the schools.

  • Actually, that looks delicious.

  • HogiesGurl said it best. People here in America have forgotten what it is like to eat real food. Not processed shit, but home cooked stuff. If you want something, you are MUCH better making it yourself.

All the diet pills dont work anyway.

  • omg who eats rice with butter??? that sounds awful!

btw i think asian food in general is very healthy. i'm not talking about that chinese take-out garbage, either.

  • @roseeatsbabies - East Indians eat rice with clarified butter(aka ghee)...but not everyone..it's super yummy and fattening as well. Chinese takeouts from the mom and pop restaurants are nothing to write home about...but cantonese style hot pot rocks. try it out...so yummy.

  • @heomak i'm actually half chinese haha^^ so I eat chinese home cooking daily. Hot pot is soo good<3 i've never heard of ghee before but I just can't imagine people eating buttered rice. and yes chinese food is amazingggg.

  • @roseeatsbabies Asian food in general is healthy.

    I wish I were Asian. D:

    No wonder the're thin. XD

  • @KikyoChanXD im sure u dont hv to be asian to eat asian

  • @roseeatsbabies - china's a huge country so cuisines vary from province to province. I didn't think highly of Chinese food until i started eating out with a chinese friend of mine. She introduced me to really good restaurants and most of the food is super healthy.

  • If she would avoided the junk and continue to ate healthy she wouldn't of gained 25 lbs. *shakes head* Where was her common sense?

  • Short grain brown rice? Bull. This is totally wrong and bread here prevails and is great even though white. Haru hajijubun. Good idea. Eat until 80% full, but do not beer get to your head and make you cheat on it.

  • I think its not only Food but the Jap living style. When I was in Japan I use to walk a lot From Home to Train station from There to Work and Back.

  • @aminmu66 -please refrain from using the word "Jap" or even "Japs" because it is considered offensive by many Japanese people. I'm sure you're a nice person who probably didn't know it was an offensive word. Many Japanese associate it with WW II and the discrimination they suffered at the hands of racist American soldiers.

  • @heomak By writing "Jap" I didn't mean harm or dis respact it was just a short form of Japan or Japanese , But why concentrate on these one word and reject the whoe sentence and its meaning ?. Finally you cant make eveery body Happy

  • @aminmu66 - i understand u didn't mean to offend but when you're made aware of how offensive this word is to Japanese people, i would think people would refrain from using the term. it's true you can't make everyone happy. but how much trouble is switching from JAP to JAPANESE..like come on.

  • @aminmu66 By writing "Jap" I didn't mean harm or dis respact it was just a short form of Japan or Japanese , But why concentrate on these one word and reject the whoe sentence and its meaning ?. Finally you cant make eveery body Happy.

  • This really works! :D

After I went off to college like a year or so ago I started eating more meat, dessert, etc. and gained close to 50 pounds in a year! I've now been eating Japanese for a week now and I've lost almost 10 pounds already, this diet is god-send. :)

  • im going to japan man the us is trying to kill us lol or making us fat so we can buy there diet shit that never works -.-

  • @HOGIESGURL1 u better believe it

  • @HOGIESGURL1 i know right lol ....im hispanic born in the us luckily i havent become fat cause i mostly only eat food my mother makes (food from my country...im not mexican lol) if my mom got used to eating american food we be obese by now! when ever people from my country come to the US they become fat in just a few weeks ugh!

  • @HOGIESGURL1 No one makes you buy fat, put down the fork and pick up a carrot fatty

  • This is why I love Japanese culture, the way they keep traditions is probably why they all follow this diet. Only to them its not a diet as much as it a way of life. I wish I liked sushi.

  • That's it, I'm going Japanese! No more cereal for breakfast, I'm having a salad with rice and fruit and then eating sushi along with steamed vegetables and green tea.

  • I would love going japanese but sometimes I am too lazy to cook or eat raw even lol

  • @Saraculture13 HOW HAS THAT WORKED FOR U

  • @Saraculture13 Make sure you have some protein for breakfast.

  • @Saraculture13 That sounds like way more work. The reason most people eat cereal is because the prep time is roughly ten seconds.

  • That reminds me, I need to get a new rice steamer.

  • Also see how much they MOVE(walk -get here and there by foot).

I love asian food, It's best for me to prepare it my self though-living in the US, the food here is worthless- for hogs. Lately I have been eating a lot from Chipotle mexican.
